Pre-2010 NBA Draft Lottery Thread
The day we've been anticipating since December 1 has finally arrived. Enjoy the next 17 hours, while the optimism is high, because afterwards there's no more hoping, there just is. The Sixers will either hold the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th pick. I don't know about you guys, but I'm a little on edge, and anxious to learn our team's fate.
Use this thread to discuss the lottery, the draft, and any superstitions you're taking part in today. Or just enjoy the calm before the storm.
I haven't found the exact percentages, because every source if different, but here are the approximate percentages for the Sixers:
Top 3: 18.6%
Pick 6: 44%
7 or lower: 37.4%
Follow the jump for a few personal requests ...
Be sure to check out our updated 'Sixers Draft Central 2010' page for all things Sixers' draft.
If you play ESPN's draft lottery machine, stop once the Sixers get the number one pick, and DO NOT close the browser.
If you're anywhere near Tom Cruise, find a way to high-five him. We need his mystical force ...

ESPN Bilas top 14
6 – Monoroe
12 – Cole Aldrich
I respect him a bit more now just for having Aldrich at 12

same here, but you’d still rather have monroe over aldrich right?

I will be going to the Phils game tonight. I’m not sure if I’m happy about it, although it does take some of the stress away. I’m going in assuming we’re getting the 6th and being happy with it. But I will be hopping on the thread via my non-Blackberry/iPhone/Droid/SmartPhone. I’ll be trying.
I am going too! Atleast we get a Halliday bobblehead!
Anyway, I think it is a good chance it gets rained out.
But I will be doing the same on my Blackberry Storm.
had tickets for tonight that I had to give away.

F me
Oliver (Philly)
If the Sixers don’t get lucky tonight, who can justify taking at the 6th spot?
Chad Ford (1:38 PM)
I don’t think the draft is necessarily the way to go for the Sixers given their personnel. I think I’d consider swapping it for a veteran.
last year the fifth pick landed randy foye and mike miller.

Chad Ford would consider swapping it for a veteran
Chad Ford time and again demonstrates that he’s a moron
Stop worrying about what chad fracking ford says – it’s like listening to howard eskin

The lottery/mock draft machine hates me
Earlier while I was eating lunch I hit the button 50 times. This is probably a bad sign.
- pick: 2 times (4%)
- pick: 2 times (4%)
- pick: 2 times (4%)
- pick: 18 times (36%)
- pick: 23 times (46%)
- pick: 3 times (6%)
Detroit had a top 3 pick about 18 times.
What I do when I'm on a conference call and very, very bored...
The RealGM Simulator was much nicer to me. Much much nicer.
1st Overall Pick: 5 times (10%)
2nd Overall Pick: 5 times (10%)
3rd Overall pick: 3 times (6%)
6th Overall Pick: 19 times (38%)
7th Overall Pick: 18 times (36%)
Is this where the chicks will be?

My prediction is that the sixers get 7 and the pistons end up in the top 3
and fans everywhere bitch about the sixers winning a coin toss that if they lost they would be in the top 3

And of course – there’s one little douche nut that if he makes one more racist comment i get to ban hs ass

Well it’d be just like teh fans to think that the coin toss had an impact on the lottery when it only had impact on who picks 6/7

Hey everyone!
I decided to take a break from coming onto this site and partaking in the pre-lottery talks; 1. because of school 2. I’d spend more time looking up stuff on players instead of studying….okay so both points go hand in hand.
Regardless, BIG night in Philly!

I am listening to Stephen A. on with Mikey Miss and he said that Jrue is a solid backup in this league.
Here’s a simple test – if you agree with him – hold your testicles near a microwave and save the world the trouble of your spawn polluting us.
If you think he’s a total ass hat – never listen to 97.5 again

The same test that applied to SAS also applies to mikey miss
