good call by the pistons fan

i wouldn’t say i did too bad with my sam young pick

by Tanner Steidel on Apr 8, 2010 1:33 PM PDT reply actions

still fairly early. i don’t know much about the lower picks this year. sticking with the top 14, for obvious reasons.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 8, 2010 2:55 PM PDT up reply actions

I front page’d it because nobody looks that far down the page. I’ll give deep, deep throat thought to this and let you know.

by Michael Levin on Apr 8, 2010 3:44 PM PDT reply actions

because i can………..

Willie Warren

by Tanner Steidel on Apr 8, 2010 5:38 PM PDT reply actions

Ok I’m gonna give a first round prospect, a second round prospect, and an undrafted prospect because I’m an arrogant prick. Or because I’m indecisive and I like college basketball and prospects too much to pick just one. Or Richard Nixon.

1st: Paul George (WHATS UP TANNER!)
2nd: Craig Brackins
U: Kenneth Faried

by Michael Levin on Apr 8, 2010 6:49 PM PDT reply actions

Big fan of Paul George. Is there room for one more on the P-Train?

by Jordan Sams on Apr 8, 2010 7:01 PM PDT up reply actions

come on ride the train it’s a choo choo ride it

by Tanner Steidel on Apr 8, 2010 7:14 PM PDT up reply actions

well if we’re making up our own rules….

1st: Paulio Gerorgio (Italian alter ego of Paul George)
2nd: Willie Warren – if he goes 1st then I go Greivis Vasquez (HOMER!)
U: Landon Milbourne (MORE HOMER!)

by Tanner Steidel on Apr 8, 2010 7:12 PM PDT up reply actions

i liked dexter pittman early (especially after the UNC game) but as the season progressed he did not – so his i was 400 lbs story is not so good

Who has the balls to pimp the dude from Tennessee who got explled?

by jemagee on Apr 8, 2010 6:50 PM PDT reply actions

Agreed with Pittman, he looked good early on then fell completely off the map. Tyler Smith’s gonna end up in Europe.

by Michael Levin on Apr 8, 2010 6:51 PM PDT up reply actions

Tyler Smith's already in Europe

Played six games with Bornova BLD in Turkey alongside Josh Shipp, Kedrick Brown and Frank Elegar, among others.
He averaged 20.5 points, 8.7 boards and 4.3 assists in 33 minutes of playing time.
I’ll draft him in the second round.

Thanks Mr. KnowledgeMan, what pick do you have?

by Michael Levin on Apr 8, 2010 9:23 PM PDT up reply actions

Aaric Murray

I am a big fan of Aaric Murray from LaSalle. Just a freshman this season, started late picking up ball in 2007 and has already emerged as a pro prospect with a lot of potential. Physically he does not look like a great big man at 6’10" and skinny but he has a great wingspan and his perimeter shooting is incredible especially for a player of his size. Hit around 48% from three point land this past season, but can also attack the basket inside, great finisher and rebounder. His ability to spread the floor from his position will be a valuable asset for team’s in the NBA and he still has a ton of potential as he improves his basketball IQ from lack of experience and when he starts bulking up a bit (his frame is almost Kevin Durant-like, scrawny with long arms). Apparently he may be entering the NBA draft this year since he is pretty old for a freshman at 20, I went to see him play twice this year and I really liked what I saw.

Definite definite sleeper. I think he’ll head back to school for another year but you’re right, absolutely loaded with potential.

by Michael Levin on Apr 8, 2010 7:32 PM PDT up reply actions

you want a kid who needs to build up… check out john henson – hopefully he’s not turned sideways in the photo cuz u may not see him

Some guys I like:
Paul George
Avery Bradley
Jimmer Fredette
Damion James

A super-flier:
Trevor Booker aka Booker T

jimmer dropped 45 on my summer league team 5 years ago

by Tanner Steidel on Apr 8, 2010 7:15 PM PDT up reply actions

i think he’ll make it in the league. he can shoot from anywhere, he’s sneaky athletic, got a lot stronger. a smaller kyle korver is an interesting comparison.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 8, 2010 7:24 PM PDT up reply actions

What the hell is a small Kyle Korver good for?

Aren’t there like 90 of them?

I blog at Ridiculous Upside. I know you'll love it.

by Scott Schroeder on Apr 8, 2010 9:22 PM PDT up reply actions

Kyle McAlarney! Colin Falls! Bo McCallebb! Ryan Toolson! Ben Woodside! Salim Stoudamire! Gimme some time and I’ll get to 90

by Michael Levin on Apr 8, 2010 9:24 PM PDT up reply actions

no cause korver can do more than just shoot, unlike jason kapono.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 8, 2010 9:26 PM PDT up reply actions

90 guys – regardless of height – who can shoot the 3 like kyle korver can?

No – there aren’t

by jemagee on Apr 9, 2010 7:36 AM PDT up reply actions

But undersized shooters

Can definitely be found without using a draft pick.

How small was Steve Kerr (a serious question – i don’t know how short / tall he was?)

by jemagee on Apr 10, 2010 9:33 AM PDT up reply actions

I like Damion as a person (we’re tight) but I don’t think he does anything in the NBA. Booker could make it as a Millsap/Glen Davis type

by Michael Levin on Apr 8, 2010 7:32 PM PDT up reply actions

i think damion could be a nice bench player for somebody.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 8, 2010 7:34 PM PDT up reply actions

If given the chance maybe, but for some reason I just see him going overseas and being forgotten about. Which is a shame because he’s lottery if he left after his sophomore year.

by Michael Levin on Apr 8, 2010 7:59 PM PDT up reply actions

Are we sure he’s no tthe anti-christ?

by jemagee on Apr 8, 2010 8:00 PM PDT up reply actions

Last year’s ‘Pimp your prospect’ was definitely dominated by detpistons3.
