It’s been the same every past off season
Van Gundy is the guy every one wants
And someone close says he isn’t interested in coaching.

I don’t want a guy coaching the sixers who doesn’t want to coach…who has to be ‘persuaded’ back. I think a job like an NBA head coach is a passion and dedication it’s not something you don’t want to do, and Van Gundy continually passes every off season. Maybe some day people will stop mentioning him as a candidate.

My armchair psychological diagnosis is that JVG loves the ego stroke of everyone wanting him as their ‘top candidate’ but can’t handle being criticized any more so has no interest in coming back, he likes to sit on the sidelines and criticize…he’s a highly paid blogger basically
