Sixers win coin flip, will pick 6th

According to the Pistons official twitter ...

Bad news: Philly wins lottery tiebreaker with Pistons. Doesn't affect shot at No. 1, but Philly will go 6, PIstons 7 if neither is top 3.

This is awesome news. However; If the Pistons move into the top 3, the Sixers will pick seventh, I believe. If neither team moves into the top 3, and none of the teams below them move into the top 3, the Sixers pick sixth.

Just saw it. Great news. So that gives us about an 18.5% chance of picking 1-3, an ~35% chance at picking 7, and and probably about a ~50% chance of picking 6 (guestimating based on other teams moving up)

Sixers win coin flip and thus slot in at 6 so they can pick at 1,2,3 6, 7,8, or 9 possibly

Best thing that could follow the Eddie Jordan firing hopefully this will be followed by a top 3 pick.

Don’t get your hopes up people, just saying.

it’s already a victory. 6th pick is much better than 7th, especially if wes johnson falls.

I’m gonna be really upset if WTF, Cousins, Favors go top 5 when we pick 6.

Although I did have Davs and Aminu above Wes/Cousins on our first BB. I’m being brain-washed. Gotta do more research.

I’m really intrigued with Whiteside.

I think 6 is too high for Whiteside, but I honestly wouldn’t mind trading down or trading the player we drafted (if we weren’t happy with the pick) in order to pick up a second round pick (or a young player we like) in order to get Whiteside at a better value.

Aren’t people projecting him around 10 to mid teens?

by JasonB on Apr 18, 2010 12:09 AM PDT up reply actions

Yeah that’s about right, but he could rise to around 7-9 in the next few weeks if somebody falls in love with him.

Isn’t Favors the F in WTF? so who is the 5th pick that you’ll be pissed about if we miss a shot at him. WTF, Cousins, then #5.

I’m assuming he meant Johnson instead of Favors (the second time). The F is Favors in WTF.
