Around SBN: Identifying The 19th-Best Team In Baseball

Video: Players, Stefanski speak after the EJ firing

After the jump are videos from Sixers.com. Sam, Elton, Andre, Jrue, Thad and Stefanski address Jordan, among other things. I'm shocked there isn't a 20 minute interview with Willie Green somewhere. I'm sure it's coming. Anyway, watch the videos.

Elton sounded the most bitter about Jordan, and Thad had the most inspirational interview. "I want to be the best player in the NBA."

Make the jump ...

Willie Green – friggin genius

Green on the absence of Andre Miller: “No disrespect to anybody on our team – we have some real good players – but Andre Miller was special to us as a basketball player. This is just how I feel. On the floor, as the point guard, he was just the general. When things broke down, he could recognize it. He put us in positions to be successful. He took over games sometimes. He had that knack when we needed him to score or someone needed the ball or we needed a stop, he was that guy for us. I think it hurt us not having him. No disrespect to anybody on our team. I definitely think it hurt us this year. He was a valuable guy for us and I loved playing with him. I also thought Jrue Holiday really got an opportunity to develop this season. Lou Williams had pretty good numbers as well. I can see now what Stefanski was trying to do. However, if you want to win immediately, you’ve got to have somebody like Andre Miller.”

I hope jrue punches him in the kidneys – twice

Jrue isn’t on Andre’s level right now, IMO.

You may be right but Jrue is better long term and Jrue would probably be better if EJ played him more in the beginning of the season.

You’re right
He’s a better passer
and a better defender

Plus he’s improving, works at his game, comes to camp in shape, and you don’t hide your eyes every time he shoots a 3 pointer…

Willie Green’s comments seem to indicate willie green sees nothing wrong with the way willie green plays basketball – that’s a flaw in his logic

Gotta love the way Ed dodged the Maurice Cheeks question.
