Around SBN: Lakers Should Trade Andrew Bynum So He Doesn't Go To Waste

Sixers Draft '10: 7th worst record it is?

Tonight's the final night of the regular season, and among other things, our season-long lottery watch will come to an end. The possibilities of the third, fourth, and fifth worst records are all gone with the wind. The best the Sixers can do is tie for the sixth worst record, and the worst they can do is tie for the seventh. Here's the breakdown:

T-6th if ...

  1. Sixers lose (@Magic)
  2. Pistons win (@T'Wolves)
Which would give them a 5.3% chance of winning the lottery, and an 18.25% chance of landing a top 3 pick. A coin flip would also determine which team (Pistons or Sixers) picks sixth, and which team picks seventh -- assuming neither moves into the top 3.

7th if ...
  1. Sixers lose (@Magic)
  2. Pistons lose (@T'Wolves)
or
  1. Sixers win (@Magic)
  2. Pistons win (@ T'Wolves)
Which would give them a 4.3% chance of winning the lottery, and a 15% chance of landing a top 3 pick.

T-7th if ...
  1. Sixers win (@Magic)
  2. Clippers lose (Lakers)
Which would give them a 3.55% of winning the lottery, and a 12.5% chance of landing a top 3 pick.

Go Magic, Pistons, and Clippers (if necessary).

It's been a magical season guys...

Who am I kidding, that was god awful. I wish I had paid more attention to the games the past few weeks but I’m kind of glad I didn’t.

Even I dreaded watching the last 10 games or so, but in all honesty, isn’t this a blessing in disguise? Wouldn’t you rather have a better than 1/10 chance of landing a top 3 pick rather than be playing the Magic in the first round and picking 17th again?

Who knows Eddie Jordan may end up being the best thing that could of happened to this team if we do end up some how ending up in the top 3.

I’m really not sure how many 5 or 6 game losses in the first round I can take anymore.

For a while I genuinely enjoyed rooting for this team to lose, but it’s gotten a bit tiresome to write recaps for either wins or losses especially when I miss a lot of the game because of school/work/piano/making other slashmarks/simba. Now I’m just ready for some draft.

Tomorrows ‘recap’ should read something like this.

The season, mercifully, is over….let us never speak of this abomination again.

In fact tonights game thread should be entirely devoted to conversations about movies worth seeing (kick-ass comes out this weekend), books and quality tv

no mention should be made of that sporting event involving the nba ‘team’ from philadlephia
