Huge game tonight guys. Need a big night out of Danny Granger (Lobo love) (not hobo love, that's different) and Troy Murphy always kills us so that's good. I still dislike Jim O'Brien. But I love Brandon Rush and AJ Price. They have 3.5 games on us in the standings, let's shrink that to 2.5.
We can do it!

That was the saddest and most depressingthing i have seen all ****ing season. i am for winning the lottery as much as the next guy but only if we lose and it happens. i WILL never cheer for my team to lose. EVER.Losing to the granger-less pacers is pathetic. I know it is all and fun and because a good pick is nice,i am kinda ashemed to be a fan of the same team as people who are excited we lost a pitiful game. i know john wall sounds eciting and all,but think of how many picks that high and hyped are a bust. Greg Oden,michael olwakandy,darko milici,hasheem thabeet and many others and they all had that same hype at the time. The pacers are a team that is goiing nowhere and i am starting to think the sixers are the same. Iggy and brand are there best players and they played 50 mins combined. Kapono,Green and smith are 1 and the same at different positions. Young and williams can score…..and thats about it. sammy place great defense,great to see he wasnt playing when they were getting dominated. The coach sucks,but its not all his fault……so do the players. This team has no leader and no plan. Jrue is looking great,but he could easily turn into the next sebastian telfair. They have no cap room and all they got going for them is the chance to get a great pick,but they could end up at 8-10 getting another decent player,and they dont need that. I am 20 and have been a fan for my whole life,and i cant remeber a time where this team has been so lost. Maybe things will start to look up…..but i just dont see it.

I was once like you. Then I got tired of the team not going anywhere. The only ways to get out of this hole are by attaining elite talent or by blowing up the team (and later obtaining elite talent). Since management doesn’t want to do the latter, the only chance we have is to get talent through the draft. The Sixers are only 2 and a half games away from the 4th spot in the lottery. That would give us a great chance at a top 5 pick at least.
As for your busts list, only Greg Oden had nearly as much hype as Wall has received. Olowokandi was someone as a surprise pick at #1, Milicic was seen by some as a mistake even at the time he was drafted, and Thabeet wasn’t expected to go #2 and it’s far too early to consider him a bust. Most highly hyped draftees actually turned out to be good. The last truly big hype bust before Oden I can think of is Derrick Coleman. After that it was Iverson, Duncan, Yao (only one on this list who failed to live up to hype), LeBron, Dwight Howard, Oden/Durant, Rose/Beasley (jury is still out), and Griffin. Don’t confuse high draft picks with hype. When people are considered elite prospects like John Wall is, they usually pan out.
What is the harm in rooting for the team to lose? Losses are actually more valuable (more ping pong balls) than wins are for the franchise. Nothing can be gained by winning more games and finishing 10th in the East. You can take your high and mighty attitude elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with rooting for what is best for the team.
