Tankapalooza '10:

Six Teams clustered between 21-23 wins.  Given they have for the season won between 32-36% of their games, its impressive how well they have managed to tank.

Recent records:

Sixers:  Lost 6 of 7

Knicks: Lost 3 of 4

Pistons:  Lost 6 of 7

Wiz:  Lost last 4

Pacers:  Lost 4 of 5

Kings:  Lost 4 of 5

Combined:  27L and 5W = 16%Winning percentage...or 2X as many losses as you would expect...if they were not tanking.

And how does this compare to the bottom teams in other seasons who have about 25 games left and no fracking chance at the playoffs?

Be it sports or my coworker who quit yesterday because she felt she had nowhere to advance in the company – when you have nothing left to ‘compete’ for – sometimes you don’t give full effort.

There's >20 games left.

If anyone wants to throw out predictions for our lottery friends (Pistons, Wizards, Knicks, Kings, Clippers, Pacers) and ours, I’d love to see ’em. I believe we had the hardest schedule when I glanced at the schedules.

We also have, on paper at least, the most talent. I’m fearing a couple of surprise wins.
