Trading Andre Iguodala
Good piece by Kelly Dwyer about the only trade that's worth talking about before the deadline. I'm not sure if this is a slight against or a puff piece about Andre, I think it's both at times. I guess that makes it a good article.

I agree with everything but...
Her statement that Iguodala is an “all-world player”
I hope Stefanski will trade Iggy & Sam for Stoudemire & Richardson. Then extend Amare’s contract & maybe pick up a FA like Joe Johnson or Stephen Jackson. But still, Eddie Jordan has gotta go.
Upon many other things wrong with that statement, what makes you think Joe or Steph would want to come to Philly?
Oh good – then the sixers would have two aging power forwards who couldn’t be on the court at the same time (Sorry, Amare isn’t a center)
Not to mention the fact that REALITY interferes with such a concept.
WHere do they get the money to sign Joe Johnson or Stephen Jackson once they over pay amare and still have richardson on the cap
Not to mention comcast and the luxury tax.
Seriously…

ESPN insider update on the trade to the Suns noted they wanted Marresse Speights for Amare and what I guess to be Richardson/Barbosa. No idea how that helps our cap at all….
wait you saying iggy and speights for amare and barbosa/rich?

did you guys see that trade a phoenix writer made up? it was a three way where the sixers traded iguodala for ben gordon, which is probably the most retarded trade ever.
I was wondering about that one… it’s a ridiculous scenario. (In case anyone hasn’t seen it, it would be part of a 3-team deal where Iggy went to Phoenix and Amare went to Detroit). Gordon has 3 years and $30 million left on his deal after this year, so I’m not sure exactly what the Sixers would be gaining in this one. It would probably take multiple first round picks to have it make any sense.
It does work in the trade machine, so long as the Pistons throw one cheap filler player to either Philly or Phoenix, but still.
If media can make up trades I will make up one! It, of course, makes absolutely NO sense but hey worth throwing onto internet because just can (which is what media does these days)

Media members need to realize that just because have a blog on website doesn’t mean they can make stuff up. They are still writers, who need to remain credible.
Why should they remain credible, as long as something is repeated enough on the internet people start believing it.
You know, like the sixers should have gotten josh smith
