"...the Suns quietly dispatched one of their lead decision-makers – senior vice president of basketball operations David Griffin – to New Orleans on Friday night to watch the Sixers play the Hornets in person."

Makes me think something has to be pretty close

But wouldn’t you think Griffin has seen enough of Iguodala to accurately judge his talent without having to get out and watch him in person?

Final look before pulling the proverbial trigger, perhaps?

All Im hoping for is that the Iggy trade doesnt end similarly to how the Halladay shafting did.

Who knows what it means. If we had actually gotten a go to player would have loved to have Iggy. There are few players who can do what he does, but on this team must do things he shouldn’t (shoot 3s, take game winning shots, etc.)

i’d be okay with the deal as long as Amare opts out.

How many years do Barbosa and J-Rish have left?

by jsams on Feb 7, 2010 3:03 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Barbosa has another after this year. Dont know about j rich

by tsteidel on Feb 7, 2010 3:21 PM PST via mobile up reply actions   0 recs

J-Rich is under contract for one more season after this year at 14,444,444 M. Barbosa is at 7,100,000 M next year and has a player option for 7,600,000 M the following season.

As a Sixers/Suns fan, I would much rather the Sixers get Barbosa over J-Rich as Barbosa can be a pretty dangerous 2 guard if given the chance. Now if the Sixers are looking to clear cap space well then Richardson makes the most sense, but if they actually want to try and get better, I think Barbosa is the way to go, especially if you can bring him back.
