Pre-Season: Sixers Dominate Knicks in Finale
The Knicks – a team full of hyalophobics to begin with – were without Amare Stoudemire, Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler tonight. Nonetheless, it was nice to finally see the Sixers dominate every facet of a game from start to finish. The pre-season's over and every game from here on out counts. Whether it counts toward ping pong balls or a low playoff seed is to be determined.
Here are a few observations:
- The starting lineup of Holiday, Iguodala, Kapono, Brand and Battie was extremely effective. Kapono's ability to shoot the three and space the floor fit perfect next to Holiday and Iguodala, and as sad as it is, Battie looked like the only big capable of rebounding and/or defending on the roster. Don't be surprised if this lineup is used opening night against the Heat.
- Evan Turner shot the ball only once in 19 minutes, and didn't attempt a free throw. He has to become more aggressive offensively, plain and simple.

ET needs aggression, I don't know what happened.
This is getting a little ridiculous.
Doug Collins doesn’t want him to be aggressive, he doesn’t want Turner to have the expectations of a #2 pick, well I’m sorry but he does.
That’s a very valuable pick, he’ll have to show us more than Iguodala’s floor game, we already have that and at max that led us to 40 wins.
40 wins is not real enjoyable, nor is it the sign of anyone worth building around.
But this win was enjoyable, and I got to root for the 76ers before I will have to root for the Heat Threesome.
So is E.T not going to be the starting 2 guard this year? I thought that was the plan, initially? Maybe I haven’t been (admittedly) paying close enough attention with the Phillies and Flyers going on but I thought that was what we got Turner for, to be our 2.

So the Magic released Stanley Robinson…any chance the Sixers take a chance?
Didn’t think so.

I would love it
But then again I’d also love an oil massage from Jerome Dyson and you can’t always get what you love.
