Phoenix Rumor - For Discussion Only

There's a poster over at realgm.com who has in the past established himself as having some 'insight' into the sixers organization.  Before I was banned from realgm.com he was reliable enough that I bought into him really having a source.  More recently (and secondhanded info) he seems to be more off the mark than not _ i think his source found out he was leaking and is now punking him.  I'm posting his most recent info not to say I think it's reliable but to spur some discussion cause we're dying here...DYING

Remember though, dying is easy, comedy is hard.

Star-divide

so what i have gathered tonight is this.
phoenix wants iguodala....but not really brand or dalembert.

some combination of iguodala, smith and kapono has been talked about..as well as all 3 in same deal.

we are trying to concoct a three way to move brand or dalembert for another expiring but as you can expect are having no luck.

phoenix may do jason richardson and amare for brand or dalembert and iguodala but only if we give up a first rounder...which we would ensure would be top 5 protected this year.

lots of variations and nothing imminent...but for what its worth..talks are becoming more substantial.

still in conversation with houston....but thats on backburner....cleveland talk was around ilgauskas, hickson, jawad and wally(resigned) if needed...shaq not in the talks. Dallas is expected to chat with us next week....what Ed said in the media today is true..lots of talks taking place...."

here's a better question

why do you think the sixers are having such a hard time trading iguodala?

by jsams on Jan 29, 2010 10:46 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

A. Because they’re asking too much back (for now)
B. Because no team NEEDS him more than they need something else (though I dispute that Dallas needs him more than anything else, including Kevin Martin)
C. Because it’s Janaury 29th, and for all the rumors floating NO ONE has been traded yet.
D. Because he’ll be available in the off season and so many teams are salivating over the chance to get (or miss) on lebron etc…and over pay the PF’s who only play good for d’antoni that they don’t want to risk their precious cap space on a guy who does everything well but isn’t as ‘exciting’ to the fans.

If the sixers continue to want to trade Iguodala into the off season, I bet you they find takers, and I bet you the sixers still get crap back.

but 80% of sixer fans think he should be traded and comcast is run by morons

A. What exactly are they asking for?
D. Regardless of exciting, if he helps you win a chip, the fans will be excited.

Amar’e Stoudemire or David Lee won’t help anyone win a championship

Who’s saying they are?

BTW

I don’t buy a single thing this dude says. In my two-year tenure as a Sixers blogger, he hasn’t even been remotely close.

That’s alright, I’m starting to lose faith in you – so it’s all a wash

Well, when you seem to be acting like a typical philly.com poster what else can i do?
