Big Board #12

Another big man takes home a spot on our board, with Greg Monroe totaling 50% of the vote.  Three players still remain on this tier until I add a few more guys to the voting.  Avery Bradley has kind of fallen off the radar a bit here, but he still has a good shot to get in the top 15.  Pat Patterson leads a #1 Kentucky team full of mostly young guys.  And Willie Warren is still here.

for all those who thought monroe was amazing cuz he played well against villanova (which every big man with talent should be able to do with ease) – last night against syracuse going against an nba body in arinze onuaku

8 pts, 4 rebs, 6 turnovers, Foul-out, in 28 mins

While i do think monroe is a great talent who needs to be stronger to become an effective nba player, i feel we are overrating him some because of what he did against nova who doesn’t really have a big man to defend (i mean cmmon fat freshman jordan williams of maryland got a double-double against nova and he has a 2 inch vertical)

Btw – started this WAY too early – if we started over I don’t think I’d have aldrich in the top 5 any more

I’ve been saying that all along. Maybe when we’re done we’ll have a vote on who’s too high and who’s too low and move them up or down respectively.

it’s a huge iphone – that thing is cool – 500 bones though – don’t quite have that kind of money being in college and all

by Tanner Steidel on Jan 27, 2010 12:15 PM PST up reply actions

Neither do I – but here’s the best comparison I saw today

http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Wireless-Reading-Display-Generation/dp/B0015TG12Q/ref=kinww_ddp

That’s the kindle DX for 489 – and all it really does is read books :)

So anyone who has shelled out 489 for a Kindle DX is going to feel like a putz when for 10 more bucks they could have had the iPad

Is it useful, not really, but my iphone isn’t that useful for me (or for a business management major at UNLV) but everyon WANTS one

Apple will last forever because they now how to tap into that ‘cool hype’ zeitgeist thing better than almost any company around (like Disney used to)

Hell in todays presentation they branded themselves as a ‘mobil device company’ – because the majority of what they sell is laptops, ipods, iphones, etc…(though i love this giant imac on my desk)

For me Econ class we were given fake money to buy a stock. I bought Apple. I’m incredible.

You want incredible

I gave a coworker a tip to buy MRVL when they hadn’t made any movies yet

At 5

He sold it at 25
