Ok, I will undoubtedly get maimed for even bringing this up, but would anyone be upset if Sammy was here past next season? (dont stop reading yet).  Hes going to be a free agent after next year, and that means 12 million dollars of cap space.  It also means that we have his early bird rights.  Since Sammy, as well as everybody else, knows that he will NEVER get a contract even in the ballpark of the 12 million we're setting on fire paying him, he will probably sign for a lot less.  If we could sign him for a reasonable amount, would you be opposed to him coming back?
