Jrue's Coming out Party?
Jrue Holiday played one helluva game last night against Chris Paul and the Hornets. Theartistformerlyknownasmichaelbourn stated well in his main page article about how he defended superbly against Paul, and how EJ left him in for the final 14 minutes, and 23 overall minutes in the game. He played well all over the court going 3-6 shooting, with 6 boards and 4 assists. He needs to keep getting 20 minutes a game, then if the season continues the way it is to get some solid starting minutes towards the end of the year. I like Lou Williams when his shot is on, but its time for this team and to finally move on without Willie Green.\
Trade Possibility - Samuel Dalembert to Portland for one of these players and a draft pick. Dante Cunningham,Travis Outlaw, Jeff Pendergraph or Martell Webster. Portland is in dire need of a center as Howard is getting more wear and tear as the year goes.

Blazer fan here.
I could see that trade happening, as all of those players other than maybe Martell are definitely movable. Not sure KP’s stance on taking on nasty contracts like Dalemberts though.
I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
Trade suggestions that don’t work under the NBA salary cap are kind of silly to even suggest.
Be nice to find a taker for Sam, haven’t been able to for a year.
As for jrues ‘coming out’ party – this is, what, his 3rd or 4th ‘coming out’ party of the year – he plays very well when he gets minutes, now is Jordan listening to Stefanski or is this just dumb luck.

Not at all, a trade with a main group of players might not work, but something similar to it could. Suggesting them is just putting an idea on the table to see what people think about it/something like it.
But, in this case, yeah, youre right, a straight up swap between the Sixers and Blazers seems unlikely since Portland doesnt have many ECs/useless players with high contracts. The only one that might fit that description would be Miller, and for some reason, I dont see the Sixers taking him back. If a third team got involved it could work though.
I got this trade to work
Sixers get:
Jermaine O’neal
Travis Outlaw
(Both ECs, yay for cap space!!)
Blazers get:
Sammy
Magloire
Heat get:
Andre Miller
Kapono
Willie Green
Granted the Heat would likely nix that, but who knows, they do need a PG. If the Blazers are willing to eat Sammys contract, then I think something could be worked out. They have Miller and dont seem too pleased with him, so if a third team gets involved that needs a PG and wouldnt mind taking on a bad but not horrible contract, it could work.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a lot
Magloire still has a contract?

Why did you get sick? Because the Sixers get O’neal? Its only 5 months at most, and its not like we play defense to begin with anyway.

Because there’s under the luxury tax and there’s REAL cap space – and just dumping sam and willie green doesn’t even put them more than a couple mil under the cap next year – so BFD – they have 3 million dollars.
Andre Miller doesn’t work with Brandon Roy – how is he going to work with the biggest ‘i need the ball’ guy in the entire league?

Its not about signing a free agent next year. Nobody in their right minds going to want to come to Philly next year. It might, however, be wise to start locking up some of the young guys to longer contracts before their value shoots up (somewhat similar to what the Eagles did with guys like Celek).
And Miller worked ok with Melo right? I dont think the guy has a problem passing the ball. Maybe its just Roy/the Blazers he doesnt like.

If you say so, it’s not a trade that has a snowballs chance of happening for any of the teams
