Andre Iguodala for Tracy McGrady

The latest rumor around T-Mac's expiring contract is him being traded to the Sixers for Andre Iguodala. I understand the appeal of having a 23 million expiring contract but for the best player on your team? It seems a little strange for the Sixers even though it would give the Sixers two guards who could start in the All Star with out All Star numbers.
The funniest part about the rumor is how the Rockets want more youth from the Sixers. What do you think about that rumor? Here is the link to the article.

what i have read is that they want either speights, thad, jrue, or lou along with iggy..now i can not unerstand why the sixers would even remotely be interested in this..unless for some reason we could get rid of sammy d or brand(which according to multiple sources, the rockets will NOT take either of them) and even then its a stretch.

why would we want t mac if it costs us some of our most promising young pieces? is t mac gonna come in and lead us to the finals? abcolutely not.

if this trade happens it will be difficult for me to cheer for the team.

i dont see the point in this trade, we would become worst team an receive less cap space than we think. this would be right there with not resigning miller and hiring eddie jordan to coach. and with that said they will probably do it and if so ill only be watching the sixers on nba 2k where i can make trades that make sense

The reasons to do this trade would be purely financial…they want to avoid the luxury tax at all costs – and probably right now they’re over the tax level for NEXT season (10/11) with no way of getting under it.

This would be the eqvuialent of the pau gasol dump but with no one getting marc gasol in return
