Richard Jefferson Traded Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs seem to have again done the smart thing and obtained a quality player from a team desperate to try and save money for spare parts and expiring contracts. Bowen is near the end of his career and his contract isn't even guaranteed for next year.
Now - this could actually impact the sixers if the Bucks now feel like they can keep one of their restricted free agents. If the sixers for some reason don't draft a point or feel he's good enough to start right away, Ramon Sessions would have been a legit target to me - will Milwaukee spend money ot keep him or Villanueva - or is this just step one of the milwaukee bucks summer block buster, the cheapening

This makes the Spurs legit contenders next year if they can stay healthy. Parker, Manu, RJ and Duncan — nice. They might have one more championship left in ’em.
I think it’s a good trade for the Bucks too. Sucks that Sessions probably won’t be available now.

On the trade front.
I’m a little surprised the Celtics are shopping Allen and Rondo so hard.

The spurs have tim duncan tony parker and manu ginobli…healthy they are legit contenders already – this just makes em better.
I don’t buy the celtics rumors – they’re too strong and too out of left field – think about this trade – was there talk – was there smoke – no – it just happened – the gasol trade – just happened – evans kapono – just happens – i tend to htink most of the stuff reported is just crap made up by reporters (or folks on the internet that reporters are too lazy to research) whereas the real stuff isn’t made public until it ‘has’ to be.
I’m not sure this trade is ‘gasole’ esque – but on the court it’s pretty unbalanced

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

Wow.
Looks like the Wizards traded pick number 5 for Foye and Mike Miller.

Oberto flipped to Detroit for Amir Johnson as Detroit clears a little bit more cap room.
I thought they liked Johnson – what big men do they have left?

I've always been a Johnson fan.
That’s a nice move.

Pistons had the most cap room this off season right? Why do they need another 2 mil?

I wonder if this amir trade was to create minutes for BJ MUllens as well or just to get 2 mil more in cap?

No reason it can’t be for both but lends credence to the promise reports :)
