Around SBN: SB Nation MMA Rankings for August 2010

All signs point to the Sixers officially unveiling their new logo tomorrow. It's been a long time coming, but it looks like we're going back to the retro logo and retro uni's. I couldn't be more excited.

I'd like to think that this was all made possible because of the petition our resident Italian (I'm italian too) Sixers blogger, Ricky from Sixers 4 Guidos started a while back.

I want to give a big shout out to Ricky for getting the ball rolling, and all 131 people who signed the petition. (Signature 89 is the best :])

Just in time for the draft...

it was a total team effort !

All fans, bloggers etc were pushing in the same direction, and the fact that we eventually won is a good sign.

Thanks for the mention and for the help Jordan, I know it’s a great day also for you :-)

The fact that it’s a weak economy and this means everyone has a lot of new jerseys to buy is the sign.

Teams LOVE changing their designs, the fact that this is ‘fan’ motivate disguises the fact that usually these things are just cash grabs

"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

!!!!!

should of never been changed in the first place. black and gold DO NOT belong in the sixers color scheme. they’re classic uni’s glad to see they are back!

the only bad part with this is now since the sixers are going back to the logo when they were at their best means more pressure to get a title, we still have some homeless guy on the roster, plus need more players that can play defense, which is a small number. lawson or flynn would get us in that direction, and if brand plays like himself and avoids getting injured

No – it really doesn’t. It means nothing of the sort.

"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.
