I am alright with it since Ty Lawson is off the board.

Regarding Andre Miller I have a question about him, we can’t talk to his agent until July 1st right? Because people over at the ESPN boards are saying we can which I think is wrong and am pretty sure Ed Stefanski said the same thing as me but they all say that we can sign him before free agency starts.

You can talk to him because he’s ‘your’ free agent – you can get ideas and parameters from the agent – it’s not tampering when it’s your own free agent – can’t talk to ben gordon or his agent though…i think that’s how it works – plus they could have spoken all season about what it would take to get miller to stay :)

"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

I believe John is correct.

They can’t ‘negotiate’ until July 1st. I think…

Besides, there’s a lot of discussion that shouldn’t happen anyway – and everyone knows it. Ben Gordons agent is the agent of a draft pick – they work out with the pistons – you don’t think the ‘parameters’ of a ben gordon deal come up during that discussin as they talk about the draft pick.

I mean, come on, when a free agent signs with a team in less than 8 hours after free agency starts – you really believe they came to agreement in 8 hours?:)

I'm pretty sure

they aren’t officially allowed to talk to him or his agent at all until July 1st.

Send GT Green packing.

On Yahoo Sports

They are saying that the Sixers are trying to trade Elton Brand but nobody is biting. I don’t believe it though since Stefanski has said over and over again that Elton is not on the block and it would be hard for another team to trade for him.

If he fails this season which I doubt he will he will be moved although then it could be hard for Stefanski to move him.

I just looked at nbadraft.net’s mock and they have us taking Chase Budinger when Jrue Holiday, Ty Lawson, and Eric Maynor are still on the board. Why the heck would we take the overrated Budinger(or at least he in college) over those three?

Because nbadraft.net changes their mock constantly and it’s about traffic not rational – it gets popularity because of its nme but to me it’s one of the weaker draft sites

GMs

The GMs in NBA seem very comfortable letting their Free Agents test the market this year. I think Miller will be offered something around $8 million/year and the Sixers will match it. I also hope the Sixers get Maynor who does a little bit of everything, like Miller.

I also think we are going to see even more trades and things are going to get really active. I was not looking forward to this draft as much as past ones, but because something crazy might happen draft night, I think it’ll be worth watching. I would also give up our 1st round pick and player on the team for Rubio in a heartbeat.

The sixers don’t have ‘matching’ rights on Andre Miller, and if they pay him 8 million dollars they’re over the luxury tax and probably not signing anyone else.

I’m not sure about ‘letting them test the market’ – they have no choice on unrestricted free agents
