I am a little surprised since I think he said at the end of the year that he was going to stay but he isn't going to be a huge loss so it doesn't matter I guess.

Definite surprise for me

This makes it even more pertinent to draft a point guard. Not that Ivey was ever going to start or even get significant minutes, it makes us very thin there. My order is still Flynn, Maynor, Lawson, Mills, Teague, Collison. I think Teague could end up being the best of the bunch but he’s too much like Lou right now to seriously look at.

Flynn!

I want Flynn, but I predict we take Lawson.

Most likely Jonny will be gone by then

Even possibly top 10, but so much could happen that it’s conceivable that one of the PGs that wasn’t expected to slip could fall to us, and someone will inevitably reach for a guy like BJ Mullens or Jrue Holiday. That’s why the NBA draft is my favorite single night in all of sports (discounting the Super Bowl if the Eagles are in it). I feel like Cartman in “Go God Go.”

Couldn’t care less – if only willie or sam had the option to opt out and took it.

This is irrelevant to the draft and to the free agnecy plan – this is not na important piece – this is a fungible end of the rotation guy on a good team on a championship team he mightt not even be in the rotation.

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

but he’d be an idiot to opt out – sadly

True.

But this is Bill Green we’re talking about. As my good friend once put it, “Anything is POSSIBLE!”

He’s a good defender, can handle the ball reasonably well and could shoot the 3 well on certain nights. I like Ivey, but if he thinks he’s worth more than what he would have gotten, he’s delusional.

He would have gotten pretty much the league minimum
so he goes on the market and looks for slightly more, on a team with a real shot of winning (the cletics need a back up oint guard) and maybe a 2 year deal
it’s a reasonable move

Probably wants some more playing time

Averaged a career low in minutes this season. Not like he deserved much more, good defender but horrible on the offensive end.
