Read the Rules
Know 'em, because there will be no exceptions.
I've been really lax on the rules lately, so don't worry if you have broken some of these in the past -- we all have, but from this point on, these guidelines are going to be strictly enforced.
Those of you who have been around these parts for a while, know that I like to have a lot of fun. We're going to continue to do so, but from now on we're going to do it in more professional way.
1. Absolutely no cuss words. This means none, whatsoever. If you have to to ask yourself, "Is this word acceptable?" It's probably not, so don't use it. And this doesn't mean you can type a w*rd using asterisks. That doesn't fly either.
2. No racial slurs.
3. Don't attack anyone personally. This means race, gender, religion, political affiliation, etc.
4. If you post a quote or excerpt from somewhere, make sure you post the link to go with it.
5. No spamming or trolling.
6. If you disagree strongly with someone's comment, criticize the comment rather than the person. For instance, say, "That comment is asinine" (a fan favorite), rather than, "You are an asinine moron."
7. Enjoy yourself. Consider Liberty Ballers a place where you can come, be yourself, sit down at your computer, and have a beer (or a Ginger Ale if that's your thing) and chat with Sixers fans from around the world. We feel your pain, and one day, we'll all feel the ecstasy of winning a championship together. One day.
If your comment breaks one of the rules, it will be deleted immediately. If you happen to be a constant offender, you will first be warned, and eventually banned, so don't do it.
If you have any questions about the rules of anything else, e-mail me at samsj@unlv.nevada.edu

Check out BlazersEdge – they posted a rather strict – one strike and you’re out policy
"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."
Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

Thank you, and yes, I sometimes get out of hand, but I never go after someones ‘racial heritage’ or ethnicity, i mainly focus on the obvious, their stupidity…:)

I just read over your “Sixers blueprint for success” and just wanted to say that you were really onto something back then! You predicted the Eddie Jordan hiring and have us signing Anthony Parker and drafting Ty Lawson – I think those are more likely to happen with each passing day.
Good work.
Roadrunner to Philly!
Dude, I'm actually upset about that.
For some reason the beginning got messed up. That was by far my favorite post, because I spent a lot of time on it. I’m going to have on re-do the beginning and re-post it in the archives.
But yeah, I was more accurate than I thought :)
Thanks for posting this. I just read it for the first time today. I didn`t realize the asterisk thing was a no-no.
So I apologize for my Sam Dalembert becoming Stephon Marbury comment a few days ago.
This isn't a rule.
It’s a suggestion via Dave from Blazer’s Edge aka the best basketball blog there is.
When you disagree with someone, try to use the words “you” and “your” as little as possible. It cuts down on a lot of the personal attacks.
I don’t know why Jordan is – but I know why I’m opposed to excessive cursing.
