Between the team and individual meetings, players spoke about where this team might be headed after consecutive .500 seasons, consecutive six-game, first-round playoff losses.

"I don't think I can say it, but I think we're going down," said swingman Iguodala.

Immediately after Thursday's game, Iguodala said this team needed to make moves. -- Fagan

Ouch.

Is this a heat of the moment thing? Or does Iggy really feel strongly about this? Honestly, I’m glad to see some of the players stray from PC answers and share their honest opinions.

Miller

I think this is his gut reaction to the inevitability of Andre Miller leaving. With that in mind, yeah we’re going down because Brand hasn’t proven anything and god knows I’m not confident in Lou for 35 minutes a game. If we draft a point guard and elton gets healthy, I think this’ll change pretty quickly. Especially at the rate he and Thad have been improving. Let’s get to the draft NOW.

This particular quote is not very encouraging.
“It’s a shame this is the lasting impression,” DiLeo said, “but our season has been pretty good.”

if a .500 season is good then what is a bad season. the team won a mere one game more this season then they did last year.
