I've kinda, sorta come around of Tyreke Evans just because of his "star potential", but I don't think we'll have to worry about the Sixers taking another brick-layer. There's a small chance he will be available at 17. I'm still not a Jeff Teague fan. Stephen Curry on the other hand, I'd love to grab. Again, small chance he falls though.
Keep in mind I wanted DeAndre Jordan over Mo Speights last year. Yeah...

Jrue Holiday… I love his name. I can already hear the PA system pumping out Madonna singing We need a holiday as Jrue scores or makes a nice dish as a Sixer.
Well that’s a reason to draft a guy for sure…
I doubt Holiday is available at 17 – but I do hope the sixers consider the announcer when making their next pick
"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."
Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

Making a mockery of a mock draft while wearing my faux moccasins… Oh my, how could I do such a thing. Sometimes a little lightheartedness is what is needed. It’s not as if you or I have a say in what the Sixers will actually do. Let’s be sure to remember that. Then again perhaps I’m not in tune with your tone in the reply.
Uh huh, sure…that’s what you meant

I don’t think Curry falls past the Knicks.
I am not sure which one I really want yet but the 4 players that I have on my radar that I would like it if the 76ers chose one of them are in no order: Holiday, Evans, Lawson, Flynn
There are rumors that ther’s a team above the knicks – forget which one is it – in love with Curry as well…knicks might not even get him which means they might be looking to move then.

I would love Evans or Lawson at our spot. I like Calathes a lot too (he was my favorite player in college to watch the last 2 years) and would love him in that spot too if he impresses in workouts. He has amazing vision, great size, and would probably be the smartest player on the team. Theres no doubt he can run a half court set, and hes really creative in the fast break too. NBA Draft prospects said this, which is exactly what Ive said before
“With Lou Williams as the guard of the future, Calathes would allow Williams to play off the ball, and Nick would run the offense as a big point guard, and then they would switch defensively. Therefore, Lou Williams would probably be more suited as a combo guard scorer and play alongside an additional ball mover within the offense, and Calathes could take minutes for Willie Green and also provide some shooting from the wing.”
I think we have to acquire a 2nd rounder from somebody, theres so many guard sleepers out there. Theres pure shooters like Christmas and Jack Mcclinton (who might not even be drafted), theres defenders like Toney Douglass, etc.
Im not interested in Curry at all. Teage would be OK, but he was pretty inconsistent this year. I wouldnt mind having Collisons defense and FT shooting either
Hey guys I took a week break from posting, but I’m back. Two things….
1. I, honestly, would be happy with any of the top point guards. I fell in love with Lawson and Evans has star potential written all over him (though that isn’t what we necessarily need. I am not sold completely on Curry as much as the majority of you guys. It is primarily because I don’t know if he has that court presence (both physically with his small size and mentally with leadership). I know that saying that will bring up a disagreement and defense from curry fans, which is completely fine. But for those who watched the televised Davidson games last year saw how to defend Curry and what happens when you do.
2. In a lighter note, is it me or does Curry look like he is five in that picture?
Id be absolutly great to get Curry
but there’s no way he’s droppin all the way to 17, but if Ty Lawsons there thats a hell of a pick
To me the Eagles are like that girlfriend that pisses u off, then u hate her, but the next morning you wake up and remember that thing u love so much about her

If we got Lawson, I would seriously spring wood. Since I’m tired and can’t form a good paragraph, I’ll simply list some points I like about him:
- With his speed and the offense they ran at UNC, he would be comfortable leading the break.
- He seems to have a pretty good jumper.
- Unlike many other NBA prospects, he wasn’t a one man show in college; he knows how to and is willing to initiate the offense rather than always trying to get his own shot.
- Speed kills.
- While he would be a liability against bigger guards, he should be better against fast guys, thereby making the overall defensive discrepancy with Miller a wash.
YES
I agree with everything you said. everything.

Once again
If Lou Williams isn’t the option at point guard, neither is Curry. With Iguodala, Young, and Brand all good offensive players, we need a point guard that can distribute. Flynn, Maynor, Lawson. I’ll repeat it all day. Also, Teague won’t fall this far, but if he does, I’d slip him right behind Flynn.

Flynn can distribute?
If your obsession is a point guard who distribute you should be on the calathes bandwagon who is the consensus best passing point guard in the draft.
All the rest are combo guards basically

Yes he can
I don’t mind Calathes but I don’t think he has the athleticism or the quickness to cover either guard spot. Flynn’s tough defensively and offensively and doesn’t work at just one speed, he mixes it up to keep defenders off balance. That being said, I don’t think Flynn falls to us either because Phoenix seems to be all over him.
Maynor, Flynn, and Lawson are not combo guards. Just because they can score doesn’t take away from their point guard ability, it makes them more valuable. Collison’s not a combo guard either, but he’s not much of a scorer. Teague’s PG ability I’m not as sold on, but I think he’s got the most potential along with Flynn.

I would not mind if they pulled an Eagles like move
Draft some future star at another position who inexplicably fell out of the top 10… then buy a late first to get your PG.

Conley came through big time in the latter part of the season. Can’t see a scenario where he’s the guy they’re looking to deal.

I don’t know – Conley showed some flourishing signs once Hollins took over as Coach. I think they’re pretty big mutual fans of one another which leads me to believe he’s not moving.

Big Speights fan...
but it’s not like he was vastly better than DeAndre Jordan was last year. Both players had their moments. Wouldn’t rag yourself over a preseason preference for one or the other.
