Hopefully Sam can kiss his days in Philly good-bye too.

where would you even start

in blowing this team up? we obviously need a MAJOR overhaul that’s gonna take at least 3 years (and probably more thanks to this season’s LVP).. i know it isn’t a deep draft, but i wouldn’t be completely against trading Lou/Sammy/Green/whoever for some extra late picks

all i know is i’m happy i’m not Ed Stefanski.. he’s got some big time work to do

Why can't Ed buy Sammy and/or Green out?

They did it with Webber. It would a) start the rebuilding process b) end their contracts a year (or two) early.

I don’t think buying a guy out gets him off the cap earlier – hence why you don’t see buy outs of guys unless they’re in their last year (most often) – they stay on the cap for the duration.

In regards to blowing this team up….well – if you REALLY want to blow it up you have to get rid of the albatross contracts which are (to me)
Sam
Willie
Evans
Lou Williams

The only way to get rid of albatrosses is to provide incentives

Young
Iguodala
Speights

AND to take back less than you give up

THAT"s how you blow it up folks

And then you’re screwed and need a patient front office and fan base – which neither they have

Some idiot on 950 just said Iguodala got a max contract – hence the problem THE AVERAGE FAN IS A MORON

"Someone created the box score," Morey says, "and he should be shot."

Blocked shots — they look great, but unless you secure the ball afterward, you haven’t helped your team all that much.

Which is why he’s on the list of incentives :)

And we'll have to find out about buyouts.

I could’ve sworn they came off the books a year early. Look it up if you have time :)

Iggy's Prime

is going to be the next 3-4 years.. all those game winners he hit were huge for his psyche, it took a big step into giving him that “killer instinct” that i think all superstars need

the problem is, i don’t think we have a real shot at putting together a championship calibur in the next 3-4 years — especially with the likes of LBJ, Wade County, Melo, B Roy, CP3, Deron Williams, Kevin Durant, Superman, and Derrick Rose all playing in the same league as us

Completely agree.

Roy is better than Iggy at scoring, and unlike Iggy his shot is silky smooth. Other than that, I’ll take Iggy over Roy in every aspect.

I have bad news for you jsams

But the only way Sammy leaves is if we find a team that wants to take on his contract and a 15% trade kicker
