I wonder if we win tonight how all the “experts” are going to react. I haven’t seen anybody give us credit and people are still expecting us to get steamrolled in teh next 4 games.

by The Legend on Apr 22, 2009 2:21 PM PDT reply actions

PTI odds on Magic winning...

Mike: 60% (“Philly is on to something”)
Tony: 99% (pointed out other game upsets had opposite results in their gm 2’s)

by chillicothe20 on Apr 22, 2009 3:51 PM PDT reply actions

tony doesn’t know squat. Everyone try listening to him on MNF and you’d understand.

by soman319 on Apr 22, 2009 3:54 PM PDT up reply actions

regardless

tony is on their for pure entertainment not sports knowledge,

by soman319 on Apr 22, 2009 3:57 PM PDT up reply actions

Like i said, pure entertainment lol. He makes John Madden sound like a genius sometimes.

by soman319 on Apr 22, 2009 4:02 PM PDT up reply actions

Did hear Madden retired? No more turducken?

by chillicothe20 on Apr 22, 2009 4:03 PM PDT up reply actions

I still cry myself to sleep every night.

Just got home.

Got a nice meal. I’m ready to do this.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 22, 2009 3:57 PM PDT reply actions

Chris Webber.

If the Magic play their best ball it’s impossible for the Sixers to win.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 22, 2009 4:04 PM PDT reply actions

Near impossible.

We can play some basketball too C-Webb.

i’d rather skip to our lou (williams)

Did anyone else think we

might have beat the shot clock there?

by chillicothe20 on Apr 22, 2009 4:19 PM PDT reply actions

what is up with Andre Miller …

12-8!

Haven’t trailed yet today.

Miller on fire!

i love baby legs and his baby hook

by Tanner Steidel on Apr 22, 2009 4:22 PM PDT reply actions

Up a TD!

17-10!

Incredible early energy.

by chillicothe20 on Apr 22, 2009 4:23 PM PDT reply actions

Hopefully we can get Sammy or Theo back in because we were doing better with those guys in there.

by The Legend on Apr 22, 2009 4:39 PM PDT reply actions

They can slow down Dwight.

And shockingly don’t miss as many layups or make as many bonehead plays.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 22, 2009 4:40 PM PDT up reply actions

5 TOs in the first is not good

and only two players scored…I’m happy with the tie

http://sixers4guidos.wordpress.com/

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 4:41 PM PDT reply actions

that was more of a charge

than the one on iggy….. gotta love when refs don’t know what they are calling

by Tanner Steidel on Apr 22, 2009 4:43 PM PDT reply actions

Was that no-call charge

maybe a make-up call for the 1st quarter bad call?

by chillicothe20 on Apr 22, 2009 4:44 PM PDT reply actions

It seems like we are starting to take some stupid shots. We need to change that fast.

by The Legend on Apr 22, 2009 4:48 PM PDT reply actions

Turk is playing some good D on Iggy

I like that Iggy is not forcing shots though

http://sixers4guidos.wordpress.com/

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 5:02 PM PDT reply actions

Considering how this game has gone

I’m not terribly impressed with the way the Magic are playing and yet the Sixers are still losing.

If they could hit a few shots and have any sort of offensive consistency and stop turning the ball over, they would be ahead by quite a few.

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 5:10 PM PDT reply actions

Down 7 at half.

Obviously it’s disappointing, but the game is still there for the taking.

Iguodala, Lou, Willie, Sam (3 starters and our sixth man) have combined for…. 1 point.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 22, 2009 5:13 PM PDT reply actions

Imagine

What the score would be if these guys were making shots

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 5:18 PM PDT up reply actions

I agree

I think we’re still very much in this thing.

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 5:21 PM PDT up reply actions

We were down 18 last time out...

7 is nothing.

Although, I would recommend not falling that far behind.

by chillicothe20 on Apr 22, 2009 5:22 PM PDT up reply actions

agree

I think he was smart enough not to force shots, he took only three. they played good D on him

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 5:26 PM PDT up reply actions

LOL @ Sam stat

only player with a positive +/- with + 3, LMAO

http://sixers4guidos.wordpress.com/

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 5:19 PM PDT reply actions

He's played well.

Just two bonehead plays that cost his team 2 points and possibly more.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 22, 2009 5:22 PM PDT up reply actions

well ????

he did nothing in 7 minutes of action… 3 F and zero in all categories

http://sixers4guidos.wordpress.com/

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 5:24 PM PDT up reply actions

oh, ok

that is true. let’s say he didn’t do much damage :-)

magic announcers

they aren’t bad at all i can live with them…. however i miss zumoff

by Tanner Steidel on Apr 22, 2009 5:29 PM PDT up reply actions

Finally someone calls Green out.

“I’m surprised Bill Green is starting this half”

by Jordan Sams on Apr 22, 2009 5:31 PM PDT reply actions

As impressive as game 1 was...

we can’t afford to go down by 18 again.

by Saul on Apr 22, 2009 5:33 PM PDT reply actions

nice start of the second half..

Green is not only useless but even detrimental. and Sam is the usual idiot. F’k them both

http://sixers4guidos.wordpress.com/

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 5:34 PM PDT reply actions

OK... down 18 now.

Is another comeback in order? Not sure I’m feeling it today.

by Saul on Apr 22, 2009 5:39 PM PDT reply actions

These fans may be loud

But they wouldn’t know a legitimate foul if they tripped over it.

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 5:42 PM PDT reply actions

Very low scoring game

roughly 60ish each

Game 1 was about 100 each.

by chillicothe20 on Apr 22, 2009 5:50 PM PDT reply actions

4th F, ehehehe

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 5:50 PM PDT reply actions

costly off rebound allowed...

and off a FT…

http://sixers4guidos.wordpress.com/

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 5:53 PM PDT reply actions

That Turkoglu 3 hurt us but we are closer then we were then game 1.

by The Legend on Apr 22, 2009 5:55 PM PDT reply actions

Do know know...

Andre shot 66% from the line in April? And not much better in the playoffs.

by Jordan Sams on Apr 22, 2009 5:56 PM PDT reply actions

What the hell, drive the ball to the hoop

we don’t need three jumpers to start the fourth.

by phillynyc on Apr 22, 2009 6:00 PM PDT reply actions

Settling for jumpshots

Is a bad strategy for the Sixers—gotta drive the ball and rebound

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 6:00 PM PDT reply actions

too many jumpers....

take it to the rim for god’s sake

http://sixers4guidos.wordpress.com/

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 6:00 PM PDT reply actions

Swallow the whistles, man

Let them play ball. Bad calls both ways tonight.

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 6:07 PM PDT reply actions

we deserve to lose

too many dumb TOs in crunch time

http://sixers4guidos.wordpress.com/

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 6:12 PM PDT reply actions

I can't believe we are losing

When the Magic are playing this horribly

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 6:13 PM PDT reply actions

andre miller

He is playing terrible right now. tooooo many T.O. and he is playing selfish.

by soman319 on Apr 22, 2009 6:17 PM PDT reply actions

You mean

It’s just your typical NBA game. The officiating is always pretty bad, if you ask me.

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 6:20 PM PDT up reply actions

We need to get to the FT line and make them

by The Legend on Apr 22, 2009 6:20 PM PDT reply actions

god.

hey did i miss something? why is dalembert not in?

by soman319 on Apr 22, 2009 6:21 PM PDT reply actions

Bad shots + Minimal Rebounding = LOSS

by chillicothe20 on Apr 22, 2009 6:23 PM PDT reply actions

good night Sixers...

learning experience hopefully… f’k

http://sixers4guidos.wordpress.com/

by Ricky - Sixers4guidos on Apr 22, 2009 6:23 PM PDT reply actions

Why does this feel like the Magic are stealing this game?

I know they’re the better team, but for the most part, were pretty unimpressive to me tonight.

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 6:24 PM PDT reply actions

hey guys where's dalembert?

is he injured? i know he has 4 PF but he only played 9 mins.

by soman319 on Apr 22, 2009 6:25 PM PDT reply actions

regardless.

A bigger body gives a better shot at rebounds.

by soman319 on Apr 22, 2009 6:27 PM PDT up reply actions

We got our split in Orlando

Games 3 and 4 are home.

We should be taking this performance with a grain of salt.

by chillicothe20 on Apr 22, 2009 6:26 PM PDT reply actions

Positive spin

If the Magic continue to play like this, we have a good chance to win more games.

by doubleh on Apr 22, 2009 6:29 PM PDT reply actions

this was the game we had to win.

They played terrible and it was there for the taking. Now there will be a game where we play amazing but they will play even better.

by soman319 on Apr 22, 2009 6:30 PM PDT reply actions

We got the split

“We won one more game than everyone predicted we would.” – AI

Now let’s go get three more. We gave them a run for their money, and now we’ll get some home cooking. We were one amazing comeback away from being down 0-2 so let’s keep this in perspective.

by ajay on Apr 22, 2009 6:36 PM PDT reply actions

good night Jordan & crew

the chat was fun, the game not really !! 3.30 AM here

After this game...

Although I didn`t see it, just looking at the box score I can see what the sixers need next year.
Yes, they need three point shooters, but beyond that they really need a reliable center. Theo does a good job at backup, but seriously, Sam Dalembert sucks monstrous testicles. He really pisses me off.

by jefu on Apr 22, 2009 6:43 PM PDT reply actions

We need to do something about Bill Green.

by The Legend on Apr 22, 2009 6:49 PM PDT reply actions

I agree with you both.

Where they gonna come from though. Hopefully the Bill Green situation is handled by Brand though — moving Iggy to the two.
