In the background.
I look at the Sixers layup line and what do I see? Sammy D going behind the back and throwing up a reverse layup.
me too
i want some national attention…as long as we can make it somewhat competitive

Anyone who can shoot a three pointer with consistency would fit in nicely here
except our coach wouldn`t play them
I`m from about an hour outside of philly by my parents grew up in philly
I`m currently working in Japan. So it`s 9:25 on Thursday morning here.
Yeah I love it here
I`ve been here about 9 months so far and well…it`s not the same at Pennsylvania.
How about you?
I was born and raised in Henderson, Nevada.
Which is about 15 minutes away from the strip. I also go to UNLV.
And I’m almost afraid to say it, but, I’m a Cowboys and Astros fan as well.
Please forgive me.
well I dont really care about football
but I am a huge phillies fan. I`ve been a sixers and phillies fan since I was a kid.
If you dont mind me asking, why did you choose the sixers as your team if you`re from nevada?
Most people I know chose to stop following the sixers after the iverson trade
I`m glad to see you stuck with them.
Yeah, well once I'm with a team, I'm with 'em.
It’s funny how much I loved Emmitt, and how he’s the reason I became a Cowboys fan. As of right now he probably wouldn’t even be in my top 5 anymore.
I guess me being older and having the resources to follow sports 1000 times closer has made my childhood favorites fade a little.
after all the ups and downs of this season
i would be lying if I said I wasn’t dissappointed. But…even if we end up with the same record as last year, and subsequently the same playoff spot, are we a better team then the 07-08 Sixers?

that`s very difficult to say, we are not the same team as the 07-08 sixers
Last year we didnt need Thad like we did this year
i know, but i've been trying to figure out why
i want to say we’re better. We’ve had some impressive wins this year, Thad’s been a beast, M16 has got unlimited potential, yet statistically speaking, we look almost exactly the same as last year

I`d say if this team doesn`t take a big step next year....
They might look to completely revamp the team
i hope the Cavs get swept by Detroit in the first round
that would be great

Lou just got blocked (fouled) on a layup attempt.
And I loved the play. He passed up an open three, then an open 15-footer, and took it to the hole. I’ll take that every time.
me too
reminds me of vintage iverson

the sixers need to stop playing like this game doesn't matter
they’re getting sucked in by the Cavs demeanor
by SexualTyrannosaurus on Apr 15, 2009 5:37 PM PDT reply actions
dear god yes
and that can’t be blamed on Thad’s absence

combination of factors
DiLeo has something to do with it for sure, mix in fatigue (that West coast trip wiped us out), and the fact that playoff bound teams are kicking it into high gear and we haven’t learn how to turn on that switch.

He doesn`t have an aggressive tone to his voice
one thing some of the best coaches in the league have
of course they respect him, it's not like he's new to the organization
and he managed to get this team to play marginally better than Mo after being on a coaching hiatus for several years

toronto was up by 19 a second ago
now it’s a 9 point game

Certainly an interesting debate.
We’ll save that for after the playoffs though. I’m gonna need something to write about.
good if they get a young, faster point guard who can shoot the three
but that`s like asking to win the lottery with this team
Sammy's out for the rest of the game?
hmmmm

There's no way Denver accepts that.
The Sixers were reportedly interested in the Bird Man when he came off his suspension.
April point guard numbers.
Miller – 16 points, 7 dimes, 5 boards, 3 turnovers, 1 steal, on 43% shooting. (38 min)
Williams – 18 points, 3 dimes, 2 board, 2 turnovers, 2 steals, on 47% shooting. (27 min)
we need a point guard who can produce more dimes
however, I guess that`s not fair to say seeing as lou gets less minutes, but I still think Miller is far more consistent.
Just think.
New season in a couple days. Everybody’s gonna be pumped. The defense will be better. Everyone will have a little extra energy.
It don't matter.
If they can play with the effort they did in Portland, they’ll have a chance, and at least we’ll get some quality basketball.
although 4 players with 18+ in one night looks nice

i was mentally preparing for the C’s

how is it we can't even manage a shot when we get the last possession of the game?
how many times has that happened this year?
by SexualTyrannosaurus on Apr 15, 2009 7:35 PM PDT reply actions
Yikes
Can’t beat the Celts without Garnett, can’t beat the Cavs without LeBron…does it matter what team we play?
It's the playoffs.
Everybody’s effort is going to be better. More focus will be put on the little things. Everybody gets a mental break over the next couple days. Trust me they’ll be ready to roll.
Here’s a stat for you: The Sixers haven’t had consecutive days of since….. March 9-10. That’s a long freakin’ time to go without consecutive days off.
Lebron get off the court
I hate how he always needs to be the center of attention

Yeah
I’m in DC and ESPN’s scoreboard sucks. It had the Sixers at 102 then magically took away a point.
ESPN scoreboard sucks
It said Iguodala missed a free throw BETWEEN two foul shots by Darnell Jackson. That’s gotta be a first…
They inbounded to Gibson.
He kinda fumbled the ball and then Ivey knocked it away and rode him to the floor as time expired.
when do we find out the playoff schedule?
by SexualTyrannosaurus on Apr 15, 2009 8:03 PM PDT reply actions
I said we'd win tonight
Of course, if we hadn’t beaten their damn bench, I probably would have jumped off of a bridge…
It`s time to celebrate gentlemen
sixers officially did better than last year
One more win, they have the 6th seed, and play an easier (yet still very good) team in the playoffs.
At what expense? a tired iguodala and miller, and perhaps an injured dalembert
Yet, I still feel good.
Dalembert will be fine.
And like I said earlier, the Sixers will get 2 days of rest for the first time in 35 days. The Andres will be rejuvenated.
