John Salley's Pistons @ A.I.'s Sixers game thread 12/09/09
Detroit Pistons at Philadelphia 76ers, Dec 9, 2009 4:00 PM PST
Welcome back to A.I. versus his old teams week!
If I had a dime for every time the Sixers lost this year, I'd have a dollar sixty. Will I grab another hypothetical dime piece tonight? More importantly, what number do you think John Wall will wear when he gets here?

the problem with broadband is it’s basically a monopoly so they never care about customer satisfaction.
it seriously pisses me off.
there’s not even a number on the webpage to call about anything – awful awful customer service

you can do the live chat and sit there and wait about 2 hours before some loser who is uninterested in helping you finally responds.
okay sent it at 7:26 eastern time…. we’ll see how long it takes to answer haha

my gpa has taken a major hit. I don't regret any second of my time playing MW2.

Everything? lol
Honestly, I don’t know what really to point out. Overall it is very solid, from gameplay to graphics, from single player to multiplayer. The online gaming experience is what is the most addicting. One of my roommates literally played for 9 hours straight. Regardless of the opinion of my other 2 roommates that he is a waste of life, 10 hours straight for anyone is a feat.

Much better…and that’s coming from a huge Haloholic. The amount of options and customizations you can go through as far as weapons, equipment and perks (as well as, gamertags and kill streak awards) you won’t run out of ideas or playing styles. If you haven’t played COD before you probably don’t know what perks are.
There are so many options of game types too. Maps are awesome and pretty even in the sense that controlling one area doesn’t control the game.
Also, since all the weapons and attachments aren’t unlocked from the start, as you level up (max is 70), you basically complete challenges to unlock said weapons and attachments; challenges such as getting 15 kills with a silencer attached and so on.

Btw Perks are basically what they sound like. You get 3 different types which range from Faster aiming and reloading to being unable to detect on radar and so on.

Oh and how is the game? Tied at Half, looks like Brand is the next player playing inspired basketball?
I am at the library, unfortunately (both because I am here and because I am not studying at the moment)

I have 2 papers and 4 finals; 1 on the 21, 2 on the 22 and 1 on the 23.
Time to actually enjoy the holiday season = None. (That includes shopping, I’ve already apologized to everyone I would get presents for)

He is, paradoxically, much worse when open.
Maybe we should have iguodala go play D on him when hes open.
This is
the no-rebounding and the free-inside-looks-for-detroit lineup.
from the box score, it looks like Sammy D is having another solid game

Only at the end, though
adn spottily even there. There have been some terrible defensive sets tonight, even in the fourth.
hard to believe he was so clutch in the playoffs last year.

Give it to Iverson for christsake!
Maybe draw a foul or something…

You know, postgame live is currently
making the point that the D wasn’t terrible tonight or in general in the past couple games. True that the final score for DET wasn’t too high, but there were WAY too many open looks and easy layups for them. They missed some easy shots; the final score is a bit deceiving.
And it’s such a shame, because this team has the potential to be an EXCELLENT defensive team. Dammit, EJ.
I dont like the idea of having Iggy bring the ball up. For some reason it doesnt work very well. I cringe everytime i see it.
i don't know
at least it shortened the night. we would not have to deal with the possibility of losing and wasting more time watching. wait…
what is that in the sky?
it’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s john wall.
it sure is a good thing jrue can guard shooting guards. he can still start even if we draft wall (then again ej will be coaching so wall will probably sit on the bench next season).
OK, I'm already tired of all of this Wall-is-already-a-Sixer talk
Were 20 games into the season, and even if we finish with the league’s worst record, there’s still a 75% chance we DON’T get the #1 pick. Just stop. Fantasize occasionally, but stop.
it is just a joke signifying the position the team is in
and the direction the team is heading. he is most likely not gonna be in a sixers uniform. i agree. but now that the team is playing with a little inspiration, we see how flawed the entire offense/defense the team is employing is and how the team is heading nowhere. if it makes you happy, i will stop bringing his name up.
