Around SBN: The Pros and Cons of an 18-game NFL Schedule

Let's Look at it this way - roster swap

Ok,  so the sixers are bad.  They're possibly as bad as they have been in 15/20 years, possibly worst team since the 83 championship team, but we all know that.  Now they've signed Iverson and just like Flash, he'll save every one of us.  (Fire Ajax Missiles)

I don't know about you, but I've run out of something new to say about Iverson, or Jordan, or Stefanski or the sixers.  I mean what else can you say about this team that someone else hasn't already said.  They're terrible, record wise not the worst team in the league, but let's see how you really feel about this team and roster going forward.

Star-divide

It's a simple 'game' really.  There's 30 NBA rosters, 13-15 players per roster, regardless of record or injury, let's see which rosters you wouldn't rather have than the sixers.  Which rosters do you find so pathetic that you wouldn't trade the sixers roster lock stock and barrel for.

I haven't researched all the rosters but off the top of my head the knicks and raptors come completely to mind, maybe the kings but i think they might have more upside right now, the clippers are an interesting case cause healthy they ain't bad but they have a crap coach.

Not changing coaches or GM's or ownership JUSt the players.

So which rosters wouldn't you want over the sixers current roster?

the sixers are better off the houston and indiana, as well.

just to throw 2 more teams into the mix.

human beings, who are almost unique in their ability to learn from the experiences of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

The only thing holding back Houston is their McGrady contract. Once they dump off his salary they can build. Plus, they`re already decent. Small, but fast without Yao. I really like some of their players.

I probably wouldnt take the Bobcats over them

Oh, and Detroit, that teams is fuhhhucked

yeah

Detroit. that might be it for me though.

I would definitely take the Bobcats over them, and the Kings

Only teams that I would not want are the Pistons. At least the Knicks have expiring contracts…

That has almost everything to do with the coach and almost nothing to do with the players.

by philiafan14364 on Dec 4, 2009 11:53 AM PST up reply actions

Wrong.

Gerald Wallace is one of the most underrated defenders in the NBA. Diaw, Chandler, Augustin, and Felton are also all pretty good defenders. Jackson doesn’t play defense but he can flat out score…

Houston....

they’re a mess..especially since McGrady is in the same boat as Iverson, only taller and a different type of player, and Yao could retire because of his foot injury. They really do not have that many assets to get more pieces, and they will be the Western Conference version of us starting next year, mediocre year after year, never getting anywhere.

Worst is definitely the Knicks. The Nets at least have players to build around.

What`s going to happen to the Suns in a few years? Their backup PG is crap.

by jefu on Dec 3, 2009 11:29 PM PST reply actions

Well they’ve got a few years to figure it out, their more immediate problem is what to do with Amare

by jemagee on Dec 4, 2009 7:55 AM PST up reply actions

Yeah I think it’s been brought up numerous times either here or on depressedfan, Amare would fit in great on this team with his disregard for defense.

I would much rather have our roster than seattle’s

Oh the Boy’s in December are frightful
But to me it’s just delightful
Jerry will tell the coach to go
How they blow, how they blow, how they blow.

But would you rather have OKC’s roster?

In a second

Oh the Boy’s in December are frightful
But to me it’s just delightful
Jerry will tell the coach to go
How they blow, how they blow, how they blow.

Knicks, Sacramento (when Jason Thompson out of Rider is 3rd leading scorer-I mean someone has to score)
