Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Eddie "THE LOSER" Jordan

Can anyone explain why or how Eddie Jordan still has a job?  He has been a LOSER his whole career and continues that trend here in Philadelphia (see his career 230-288, before this year, and 8-18 playoff record).  Everyone knows the only reason he was hired was because of his relationship with the Sixers GM.  Jordan couldn't coach his way out of a shoe box and a couple years of making the playoffs with the Wizards (which in the East doesn't even mean a winning record) does not constitute a good coach!  Hell, the Wizards were so bad for son long the only way they could go was up and Jordan just happened to be around for their up time.  I coach a middle school girl's basketball team that is really, pretty bad, and we are 3-1, and also instill more hustle and defense then Jordan does with the Sixers.  He has already lost a locker-room he never really had, taken our $60 million dollar man and put him on the bench and continues to try and implement his Princeton offense with a team that does not have the players to run it the way it should be run.  This just goes to prove that there is still a good ole' boys network and that anyone who has ever been a coach (unless you are Isaiah Thomas) will continue to always get a coaching shot with another team no matter how horrible they have been.  The only coach in recent history worse then Jordan has been Isaiah, but some how no one sees this in the Sixers organization.  I guarantee I could do a better job then Jordan at this point as he just seems completely out of touch with what the Sixers really need.  I am disgusted to see another mediocre season with another crappy draft pick coming at the end of the year.  As long as Jordan has a job the Sixers will continue to be losers.  Hell, they way he is going we might as well throw the rest of the games this season because the playoffs are just a far off dream.  Eddie Jordan, YOU SUCK and always will.  Try coaching little league, maybe you will do a better job there.

YOUR RIGHT

Eddie Jordan is a lousy coach. Its not all jordan thou. I couldnt believe it when elton I do nothing brand called out his teamates. They need to let Jordan go, try, try to trade Dalembert. Anyone notice he’s getting like 4 points a game? They have good pieces in Young, Iguodala, Speights, Williams. I’ve said this for a month now, this team with or with AI, is a lottery team UNLESS, they fire jordan and desperately look for a trade for brand and dalembert. How bout brand and dalembert for bosh? If I was the GM, I couldnt stand this anymore. Peace.

All sixer fans

Dont we all wish we got SMITH now instead of brand, with a new coach. A coach that could utilize all that atheticism? Imagine, Josh Smith, Iguadola, Thad Young, Speights, etc, with a coach with a mind set of let them run. This would be a different season for us philly fans.

Can we come up a list of things you are auto banned for?

Not understanding why the sixers weren’t going to get Josh Smith should be one of them.

Its crazy,

but a good number of Kings fans were completely bummed when we lost our shot at hiring Jordan. This happened as well when we ended up with the 4th overall pick and took Tyreke instead of Rubio.

In retrospect, I think Geoff Petrie is a pretty shrewed GM and I no longer question his decisions.

Good luck this season, except when playing the Kings…
