I might not be happy with the team or the coach, but I always want them to win. I’m worried about the Rockets though. a couple of their players stepped up when Yao and McGrady went down. I like Carl Landry

by RickoT on Dec 11, 2009 2:25 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Cant root against them

ANd i think we will start a new 1 game winning streak lol,Fired up 76ers+rockets let down game after betting cavs=76ers win. Remeber its philadelphia,we aint getting j-wall anyways. If they tank i think they get 3rd pick and proably end up getting a decent player but not great

by Scotan on Dec 11, 2009 2:48 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

i don’t see em tanking. but you’re right. no way we get jwall.

If you’re in the top 5 of the lottery there’s a shot – and this team is just that bad

by jemagee on Dec 11, 2009 4:09 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

the more we win...

the longer EJ stays, which is the worst thing that can happen. If we get rid of him I don’t mind us going on a playoff run. Otherwise lets get a lottery pick!

Cheer up, 76er fans!

The Rockets haven’t won against Philly since 2006-2007. Why start now?

haven’t seen any of it but the score looks good to me after one

by tsteidel on Dec 11, 2009 4:37 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Best first quarter they’ve played in a long time. I am happy when they score over 25 in a quarter, and keep their opponent below that.

Good to see Jrue…..and no Royal. Curious that we see Brezec instead of Smith, but that’s fine- maybe Eddie is learning! Rebounding is fine, Sam has been a monster lately. If he does it again, it’s breaking his normal trend of never stringing three good games in a row together.

15-3 for the first 6 mins of the second half – eddie jordan obviously did a good job coaching at halftime

by tsteidel on Dec 11, 2009 5:42 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

why the.....

hell does jason kapono even play on this team? he gets no shots, makes no shots, plays no defense, gets no rebounds, can’t handle the ball, never has any assists…

by packimop on Dec 11, 2009 5:56 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

I disagree

I think the blame goes to Jordan for not gettng Kapono shots. He can shoot if he gets a chance to get in rythmn.

by DeanH on Dec 11, 2009 6:34 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

my point is

that he is completely useless on the floor for us right now, regardless of whether it is the coach’s fault or not

by packimop on Dec 11, 2009 6:42 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Explain

Willie Green, 1-7, 2 points, Kapono, 1-3, 2 points. Kapono needs to be given a chance to shoot. Get some playtime, not just a 3 shots a game. Agree, if they are not going to give him a chance to shoot, why bother.

by DeanH on Dec 11, 2009 6:44 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Never fails

sixers play good defense until 2 seconds left, team chucks it up, it goes in. Game over. So frustrating!!!!!!

by guitarmouse35 on Dec 11, 2009 6:33 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Green was soo freakn cold!

If he can’t shoot nor play defense why have him in? At he least put in Jrue cuz he CAN PLAY GOOD D! Im not sayn Jrue had a good game but …Green was cold tonight and struggles with D so he should’ve been pulled and Jrue should’ve been put in! Id take Jrue guarding Brooks over Green anyday!!!!

but you are not the coach. That makes sense. But we have a brainless coach. He is so stupid, can’t follow his moves at all.

I am starting to really believe Willie does have pictures.

by DeanH on Dec 11, 2009 6:43 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

I said the sixers played good defense; talking about the last possession when it was a 3 pt. game and still possible to win.

After AI hit that shot....

and then brooks missed that layup why in the world didnt they call a time up back up the floor and get set? EJ is literally retarded. Andre was outta control driving down the floor and they didnt get a good look.

willie green is terrible and extremely useless with AI on the squad

by packimop on Dec 11, 2009 6:43 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

We were behined in pts so I understand that we needed to score but

Willie was a non factor in the last game and a non factor in this game. We needed to do one thing in the last couple of minutes. And that was play solid defense. The pts were coming via Iggy, Brand, and AI. We needed defensive stops to hold the Rockets! So if Willie is not scoring and is not playing solid D…Why was he in?? Please Eddie. Tell me WHY in the WORLD Willie G was in if he was a non factor coming into the game (from last game) and in the last 6:00 minutes of the game. Eddie, that is more than enough time to notice that Green is not helping right now so let’s get someone in there who CAN help! Like hmmm..someone who can play defense…like I dont know..maybe JRUE!!!!!!

??

Why in the world isnt AI taking the ball up the court at the end of games like this? simply mind boggling.

by cmg on Dec 11, 2009 6:54 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Two things

1. It’s Eddie Jordan; the man has braces.

2. I don’t think it’s as big an issue if Iverson brings the ball up, more so if he gets a play called for him. I’d much rather have Iverson taking shots at the end of games than Willie Green (better yet, why the hell is Willie in the game? See #1 for that answer). I’d also rather have Iverson taking shots over Iguodala, but only when Iguodala goes cold in the latter stages of the game, like he has been recently.

It was mainly Iverson and Brand that knew the cure for shots not falling in this game—get to the line. What I don’t understand is game after game, Iguodala and Green (mainly) take completely ill-advised jump shots. You would think after laying a brick house game after game, they’d learn. But hey, I’m not complaining when we get John Wall.

P.S. Mo Speights, please come back soon.

by guitarmouse35 on Dec 11, 2009 7:14 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

u forgot.....

P.S. Lou Williams also please come back soon
and we dont have a chance at wall, we are not the worst team, i doubt if we get a top 3 pick, maybe top 10

eff you we winning anyway

We don’t have to be the worst team, if we’re in the top 5 (low 5) I think it’s at least plausible.

Tonight it wasn’t Jordan. The Bench is killing the team’s chances. They score no points at all. I don’t know why, but Willie Green lost the ability to shoot once AI started to play.

Jure Holiday was playing lousy, the question is why was Green in instead of Young. Thad tried hard and had a good game on the boards tonight. Every starter except Dalembert shot well, the team rebounded well and took care of the ball and we still lost. There is nothing the coach can do when he doesn’t have the players. He had everyone in the game who could score, and gave them the opportunity and they came up short again. It isn’t his fault. He only has six players to choose from.

If Holiday gets it together, that might be enough, but we really, really desperately need Williams and Speights back.

by RickoT on Dec 11, 2009 7:30 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Idk if Jrue was playing lousy..but it he wasn't too effective on offense!

Put the game came down to Defense…and Brooks was light’n up Willie G! And Green was also not scoring! I mean..if it comes down to playn D then Jrue or Thad (like u said) would be a better option than Willie! We both agree that Willie should NOT have been in there! And that is the decision of the COACH! Thus Eddie Jordan strikes again. He didn’t help the situation! If u wanna give a pass to Jordan this game then ok. The guys most def cooled way off in the second half and gave up some huge pts..But Jordan still didnt help his (OUR) team out by playing Green!!

though some might say that Eddie DID help our team by playing Green tonite as...

we lose AGAIN and help our chances of a better draft pick LOL!

My guess is that Jordan liked the match-up with a guard, rather than a forward and preferred Willie to Jrue. I can’t fault him for that, the only thing I fault him for is going with only 1 big, but he didn’t do that for very long.

Honestly, other than his love affair with Jason Kapono, I didn’t have a problem with his substitutions. None of the bench players performed and this time he put them in one at a time, giving them every opportunity to work with the starters. Nothing worked. He could have played Rodney Carney, but really would he have been the answer?

Bench goes 2-16 and we lose by 5. One more good player shooting 5-10 added to our score and the Sixers win every game that they’ve lost during this streak. Just one more good player and we start winning. Speights can turn this thing around faster than you can say playoffs.

How could u not fault Jordan for that

Willie was ineffective goin into the last 10 mins of the game! U gotta know when somethings not working and adjust! We needed to play solid D towards the end and Green wasn’t even doing an ok Job as! Granted..some of Brooks’ shots were LUCKY as heck!!!
