Two actully but I think I’m done with one of them. BGN is just really heavily trafficked

Mixed thoughts. BGN is just hard to keep up with and i think 800+ posts per half in a game thread might be too much :)
I’m not done with BGN – I just read it less frequently, i’m done with TGP

BGN is the main reason I don’t get to keep up with TGP and here … I’ve been there the longest and it’s really grown into something.

Jason’s more tolerant of some people than I would be :)
Game threads are a pain :)

pol pot is more tolerant of some people than you would be.

Isn’t Pol Pot dead?
I openly admit I’m intolerant of morons, if you want me to be more tolerant of you it’s a pretyt simple solution

There are other blogs worth reading as well…BTB for sabremetric folk is nice for instance
by jemagee on Dec 1, 2009 7:03 PM PST reply actions
I check out...
This one the most as hardest to find info on sixers but still check out TGP and BGN. Plus I am a huge follower of Troy Nunes (syracuse blog)
Troy Nunes is great
But I always check out BGN too, but it is really heavily trafficked and hard to keep up sometimes.
Nope. Only other Philly sports blog I read is the700level.
Also read ESPN’s Truehoop and Mosley’s NFC East blog.
Hey Saul, its Mitch from CHS. Nice to hear from you again haha.

Hey, man. good to hear from you.
Haven’t seen you over at Liberty Ballers here before, right?
Actually I am over here a good amount checking up on Sixers news and seeing what people are thinking, I just don’t post much.

random, but relevant
apparently he will sign tomorrow (wednesday)
http://dailyphiladelphian.com/2009/12/02/stephen-a-allen-iverson-will-sign-with-sixers-on-wednesday/
I read all of the other SB Nation ones
plus a handful of others, like 700 level, Phinally Philly, Fire Eric Bruntlett, etc

Philly sports, music, and news
I believe it has something to do with his ‘performance’ when he was on the cubs?
BTB is beyond the boxscore I think…it’s an advanced sabremetric blog, well over my head but fun to read and I’ll get there.

He had possibly the worst two statistical seasons in the history of all time, including pee-wee coach pitch baseball. I’ve never seen a worse baseball player in my life.

Fire Eric Bruntlett...
because as a Phillie, the man was completely useless. Except for that triple play. Which was all luck.

I am Philadelphia through and through. I read all of the other Philly SBN blogs (Liberty Ballers, TGP, BGN and obviously BSH if you havent already noticed from my s/n).
I do agree with jemagee though. BGN and TGP are very trafficked and get a little sloppy with every man and his dog posting some new fanposts. Its hard to keep track. I go there more to get the latest news and see people’s opinions, not really to discuss.
What? You are not a fan of hearing about the same rumors 200 times? Reading about the same match up questions, the same division analysis, and the same team analysis 100 times? How about ignoring the personal, mostly pointless, opinions of everyone, their mom, and their dog’s groomer about the Eagles a million times?
I mean, I think BGN is great, it’s just a little annoying sometimes. You could write up the best fanpost this decade, and it’d be shoved aside after 10 random posts an hour later. lol
"They say that nobody is perfect. Then they tell you practice makes perfect. I wish they'd make up their minds." - Wilt Chamberlain
TGP is nowhere near as heavily trafficked as BGN…& the post diarrhea isn’t bad at all…it’s not why i won’t be posting there anymore

You still haven’t said why you are done with TGP, jemagee. Whats the deal?
Sorry, I don’t mean to pry if you don’t feel like saying. I was just curious because I remember seeing you over there a lot.
by Mitchell Green on Dec 2, 2009 8:41 AM PST up reply actions
It’s not worth it to talk about it or post there any more – that’s all

meh people use the blog correctly and rec posts and get them bumped up and Jason does a great job of promoting posts to the front page when deserving.
The comments can be ridiculous but that’s the price you pay for having an informative blog, word gets out on good things.

Too many people post the same thing over and over – there’s not enough smart reading…don’t post something before checking if one (or five) other people did already :)

I spend a lot of time on several SB Nation blogs
and I think Jason does one of the best jobs in running one.
As for the fanposts, they can get annoying, but the internet is filled with annoying people. Truth be told, BGN has a lot of posters that do put some real thought into their fanposts.

Hey, don’t get me wrong. I LOVE BGN and TGP. Both the Eagles and Phillies are good teams with great fans and the sites have awesome administrators and I totally appreciate everything they do. As Whodie126 said, you can’t fault them for being informative sites. There is a reason that I go to Philly’s SBN blogs when the latest news when Philly’s sports team breaks.
…but there is a lot of repetitive posting. Not really a big deal.

i like to think this blog has even awesomer (not a word) administrators :)

Except Jordan :)

well, to be fair
you usually get banned as soon as most “blog masters” start to recognize your posts by tone and pessimism. how many is it now?
