Click here if you think we should've drafted Ty Lawson instead of Jrue Holiday.

No! I WON'T!!!

Must…resist..temptation. Upside…upside…upside…upside…..

/Sits alone in corner, rocking back and forth

I think you really have to wait a few years before evaluating this. Obviously Lawson is a lot better now (not that we would know, since Jrue gets no minutes…), but it’s not like the Sixers are going to be contenders this year with Lawson anyway.

talk all you guys want about upside… yea holiday will get better but lawson will always be better than holiday throughout their nba career

Based on 5 games and being 3 years older – and various scouting reports to the contrary you must be right cause you believe it so fervently

Huh????

How in the world can you say lawson will ALWAYS? You should be in the stock market and betting on horses! And, what about injuries? Just think about your statements. No facts at all, just opinion in stating you are smarter than all of the 76ers scouting team that has a tremendous record of drafting high value picks in the past few years!

Haven’t you been paying attention to posting style, all absolutes, no facts, and very little evident experience

how have the sixers been doing recently? hmm not too well, only reason they made the playoffs is because after the big 3 (CLE,BOS,ORL recently along with DET a few years back) are the only good teams in the EAST. If philly played in the West they would not make the playoffs. It is a joke to make the playoffs when the team is right around .500.

2008-2009 season: 41-41 made playoffs
2007-2008 season: 40-42 made playoffs
2004-2005 season: 43-39 made playoffs

With those records, a team should not make the playoffs. 08-09 Suns were 10 games over .500 and did not make it. 07-08 the Golden State Warriors were 12 games over .500 and did not make it. Philly should be feel very fortnate for being in the east.

If you do not believe those facts look them up yourself.

How does any of that support ur claim that lawson will “always” be better than holiday? Seems completely unrelated to me.

it is going towards magee stating the no facts statement in his. I mentioned my opinion on lawson vs holliday earlier. I think both have good chance of doing well

but he wasn’t replying to you…

by guitarmouse35 on Nov 6, 2009 9:40 AM PST up reply actions

I’m not even sure he knows what he was saying, he said nothing about holliday being good

yea holiday will get better but lawson will always be better than holiday throughout their nba career

I suppose he feels ANY facts will support his hypothesis whether or not they are realted to his actual point?

no it is just my opionion. Im aware of the age and only 5 games into their rookie seasons. Do i think holiday will be good? yes. Do i think he should get more minutes? yes. Green is done, holiday should be in the mix for some of his minutes. But, we will see in years to come who ends up doing better. Hopefully for both of them they both perform well year after year

^will perform well. Sorry forgot a word magee should make more sense with well in there. :)
