I hope we look at guys from the D-League like Sundiata Gaines, John Lucas, Mateen Cleaves, and Blake Ahearn. Give them a 10-day and see if they can produce. I’d rather see any of them than Ivey, plus our bench is looking mighty mighty thin right now.

I love Sundiata Gaines

Watched him in college a lot last year at Georgia. I just like the way he plays.

A mixed blessing I guess, at least Holiday will get more time on the floor. This season is chalked up anyway. Lottery pick here we come.

Mateen Cleaves? Would you also like to bring in Ryan Leaf?

I hope they don’t look at anyone but Holiday – he was getting no minutes – now give him starters minutes – simple solution

Jrue

Why not give him a chance? We can see what we have in a back-up/future PG and see what se need to do in future drafts.

Of course it’s Jrue, but the Sixers now need another guard until he gets back unless you want to see a lot of Ivey and Green. It makes sense to sign Iverson now, as long as he understands he’s here in case Jrue can’t produce, and only until Williams is back. It’s sort of an insult to bring him in to put him on the bench, but it’s the only way that makes sense for the Sixers.

Amazeing that no one else wants Iverson, he’s better than half the guards in the NBA at least.

Who do...

ppl see us brining in? I figure we bring someone in, maybe a vet or an NBDL guy.

Praying its a cheap D-League guy instead of some washed up vet out of retirement a la Sam Cassell, Jacque Vaughn, or Brevin Knight.

Signing Curtis Jerrells away from the Spurs would be nice, Oliver Lafayette would be able to step in and play a bit, I’ve always been a big Mateen Cleaves fan, but I believe he’s currently playing in Europe. Jason Richards has no offensive game but he’s a hell of a distributor (Steph Curry’s point guard at Davidson). These are all cheap options to bring in for a 10-day contract and see if they can play enough to warrant being signed for the rest of the year. It’s not brain surgery, it just takes a little digging by the FO instead of signing some washed-up has been, give a young guy a shot and maybe get lucky.

I just don't see the point

in signing anyone to 10-day contract, especially if they’re going to take away minutes from Jrue. I only want them taking minutes from Bill and Ivey if both of them would be in the game at the same time (the deficient duo). Other than that one circumstance, I don’t see the point in signing anyone, unless it’s for the IR.

seeing as he used to be the superstar and franchise player of this team, and doesn`t have the ability to ever accept a role less than that , there is no way he would ever come back to this team with that kind of mentality. Never.

Wow, if we thought our bench was bad before…
