This isnt good. They probably know out offense better than we do!

From Fagans Twitter…
Caron Butler out tonight w/ a sore right ankle. Wizards start Arenas, Young, Jamison, Oberto, and Haywood.

My fantasy team, which was autodrafted, is the fantasy basketball equivilant of the NY Mets…Caron, Redd, Eric Gordon, Troy Murphy got hurt and everyone else sucks.

Whats the O/U on how many points Arenas drops on Lou…40? Or maybe Lou guards Young and Iguodala gets him.

by jmorcate on Nov 24, 2009 3:43 PM PST reply actions

Also, you know they will be fired up. They could use an emotional win tonight to honor their owner

by jmorcate on Nov 24, 2009 3:49 PM PST reply actions

Sam actually looks pretty decent so far. I’m pleasantly impressed with the best few minutes of basketball I think I’ve ever seen him play.

by Michael Levin on Nov 24, 2009 4:25 PM PST reply actions

I’ve learned not to get excited about good stretches from him.

Alright Fergie, keep your promiscuous opinions to yourself

by Michael Levin on Nov 24, 2009 4:37 PM PST up reply actions

The thing about the sixers which currently impedes them from being a “good” basketball team is just that. They are not a team, and do not play as a team. They pass not to get a good shot or make the defense work, they only pass out of necessity. Defensively, they switch or stay with their man at random, often leaving people wide open, everyone unsure who they’re supposed to be covering.

This issue lies with the coach, something that must get resolved if any good is to come out of this season.

by Michael Levin on Nov 24, 2009 4:27 PM PST reply actions

Sigh…such a shame, it was a short stretch, maybe it is just the getting into game shape thing…those couple games give us hope.

by jemagee on Nov 24, 2009 7:23 PM PST up reply actions

Jordan takes out Lou and Sammy in favor of Green and Carney and starts running the PO more. I know its been repeated ad nauseum, but Willie Green is not good at basketball. It baffles me how coaches continue to ignore this fact.

by Michael Levin on Nov 24, 2009 4:32 PM PST reply actions

The pace of this game is frenetic. Still a lot of missed shots. Evidently no one is watching.

by Michael Levin on Nov 24, 2009 4:52 PM PST reply actions

Alright nice half. Sam and Willie did some tremendously stupid things, to be expected, but also some decent ones. Can’t complain. Don’t like the lineups — Willie, Kapono, and Dalembert should not be on the court at the same time. Recipe for a ten point swing the other way.

Yea that's BS!!!!

not exactly a long shot, considering the wording was taken right from the above comment

and the tongue was pretty firmly planted in cheek, even though the sentiment was very much on the ball.

human beings, who are almost unique in their ability to learn from the experiences of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

I can live with that shot. I’d rather have Lou taking it than Andre.

Yea 2day Iggy was way off

so i cant hate it right now

i need a drive there. no excuse not to go to the basket then maybe kick it out for an open look. by the way where the hell were you tonight? I was trying to do my best jsams impression, although jrue probably got everybody more involved than I did

by Michael Levin on Nov 24, 2009 6:26 PM PST up reply actions

well a drive would’ve been nice, and i would’ve preferred an earlier shot so they could foul and have another chance, but I can live with Lou shooting that. I would’ve hated it if it was Andre.

by Jordan Sams on Nov 24, 2009 6:28 PM PST up reply actions

And I was watching in my room instead of near a computer.

by Jordan Sams on Nov 24, 2009 6:28 PM PST up reply actions

Yeah

I trust it more, especially in this particular game.

by Slizeezyc on Nov 24, 2009 6:26 PM PST up reply actions

idk about that..

Iggy at least has some game winners under his belt. I don’t recall any for Lou.

Lou and Jrue

I want to see that more. And god help me if Willie plays more than Jrue after that game. I know Jrue plays better in a fast-paced style like tonight, but he still brings a lot of intangibles that Willie or any other backup guard does not.

by Slizeezyc on Nov 24, 2009 6:26 PM PST reply actions

WILLIE LOL

We most def should have Jrue and Lou on the court together!

I see Jrue running the PG and Lou, well…u guys get my drift haha!!

or at LEAST way more PT for Jrue

WAY MORE!! This Kid is Hungry and wants to show that he can ball right now!!

Tough loss to take

but with Jrue’s performance, and the comeback without a struggling Andre Iguodala, this will surely turn EJ’s head… just in time for boston tomorrow!

Play Jrue for under ten minutes (9:40) and he gets 11 points, 6 boards (4off), 2 steals, 1 assist and 1 block (on Jamison!!!), and the team loses by 1.

Play Jrue for more than 10 min and who knows what can happen! This kid had a ridiculous game, and hopefully EJ has realized that he’s the real deal NOW, and not 2 years from now.

Oh, and Sammy D— you play well for that trade! Heck if he plays like that every night, we should think about resiging him!
