Bobcats @ Sixers game thread 11/18/09

Charlotte Bobcats at Philadelphia 76ers, Nov 18, 2009 4:00 PM PST

Photo

Matt Slocum - AP

Will Elton be in the starting lineup?

Is this Sammy D's last game in a Sixers uniform?

Is this the Sixers final game without Monta Ellis?

Will the Sixers have enough to beat a bad Bobcats team?

Go Sixers.

I just couldn't make sense of him coming of the bench

I guess I understand EJs “match up” situations. Then agian…I don’t understand them, but I see what he’s tryna do!

I know Brand hasn’t done spectacular things on the court. But havin’ him sit on the bench when we have Speights out for at least 6 weeks……I mean….C’mon! It’s only my opinion though!!!!

Check this out:

Lou plays 10 minutes, team gives up 22 points.
Green plays 2 minutes, team give up 0 points.

Keep an eye on this because the defense looks infinitely better without Lou on the floor.

I don't believe Jordan gives a crap about Jrues psyche!

I mean…playing Ivery (who’s a scrap) instead of letting Jrue (the Future) gain some on court knowledge tells alot about a Coach!

Unfortunately I too have gone through the rigors of braces. I actually had a tooth that grew in literally on the roof of my mouth. And after an unfortunate football accident as a child, my bottom teeth also had to get fixed.

Something along the lines of JASON SMITH SUCKS DEFENSIVELY is my guess

by jemagee on Nov 18, 2009 6:09 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Brown had Smith one-on-one in the lane, and made a small move that COMPLETELY beat him

and smtih gave the foul – had no other choice. brown missed both of the fts, though.

Because smith has like no lateral quickness

Elton brand has 19 points and 10 rebounds and 3 fouls – if he sits the rest of the game – SOMEON punch eddie jordan in the kidneys

by jemagee on Nov 18, 2009 6:09 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

U don’t have to ask me to do that even if Brand doesn’t come back in….
Im happy to punch Eddie in the kidneys regardless!

His psyche took a beating…

the sixers really need to hire psylocke or emma frost (cause she’s much hotter) to work on this

Now – why is IGUODALA on the bench and thad NOT on the bench

Dear Coach Jordan – you can’t just do EVERYTHING right can you?

by jemagee on Nov 18, 2009 6:15 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Lou, Carney, Iguodala, Young, Brand. Can’t complain with that lineup to end the game.

by jsams on Nov 18, 2009 6:19 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Sure I can – jrue is a better defender than lou

Welcome to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Where we love to suck in the 4th quarter and crunch time.

i found this game at least somewhat satisfying for two fold reasons

1. 19 pts, 11 boards, 6 blocks, 4 steals, 2 assists, 1 turnover

2. we actually played a somewhat inspired game with a little bit of enthusiasm

there are of course the negatives like Jrue (or lack thereof) and thad (just horrendous tonight).
But out of all the so called “empty losses,” this one was definitely the nicest (if that makes sense).

still sucks not to have a blowout in our favor this year, but i agree.

notice the first thing he said in his pregame interview is that he’s glad to finally play in the fourth quarter

Monta Ellis?

is there any actual rumors about monta ellis or is it just wishful thinking?

by scarhart3 on Nov 18, 2009 7:00 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Just made up rumors. I’m not so sure I’d even want Monta Ellis. He probably plays Lou Williams defense.
