Iverson Waived by Memphis
All stupid idiotic suggestions that somehow bringing Iverson back to the sixers would help either at the gate (woo hoo last in home attendance) or on the court, please limit them to this location and this location only for the sake of clarity and ease of understanding.
In short, if you want Allen iverson back on the sixers, you want the sixers to lose. You want them to be terrible and you want to set back the development of every player on the roster.

development
uuummm? What development, everone has gotten worse it seems except lou williams. If you can’t win, at least fill the stands and make money while trying? Go get AI and give us at least some sense of hope. Can it get any worse by signing him for the rest of the year? We all have watched the games and can honestly answer that question with a NO! It can’t get any worse.

I can see how this signing would be a business smart thing to do.

Why?
How is it a good business thing to do?
Are people just living in the past?
Before Iverson left, the sixers attendance was already on a downward trend for many years, signing him in memphis only resulted in 1,000 more season ticket holders…and what the hell else is there tro do in Memphis?

Only ways i'd get Iverson & let him start like he wants to...
1) Williams & Jrue are out with season ending injuries
2) We trade Dalembert for him… too late
3) Let him start, then sit him for most of the game

I think it’s pathetic that a great scorer like Iverson can’t get a job, but I still don’t want him back with the Sixers. We have Lou Williams to play THAT role anyway and he’s a lot younger..
The Sixers won’t fill the stands until this team starts playing well enough to be entertaining. They don’t seem to be outworking their opponents anymore, just matching their intensity, That’s a loosing team’s mentality. You should be trying to beat your opponent every minute you’re on the floor. Until the Sixers figure out how to win and regain some confidence, they have taken a step backwards from last season.

All he is is a scoreer, but a unique one that can only thrive on a certain kind of team, he won’t admit that he’s not a starter any more and he is no longer a box office draw
I’m not surprised he can’t find a team at all – no team desperate for attaendance will sign him because he won’t help yet and no contender is going to sign him yet because they dont need him enough yet and maybe a month or two humbles him into accepting a back up role
