What?

Really?

Our only consistent big (in terms of scoring). How many games we got in that time frame? We win maybe 25% of them at best, unless the rotation is figured out, EB is used properly and we play some D!

Losing speights doesn’t amek the sixers worse defensively, in fact might make them better if jordan gives brand more 4th quarter minutes…

No where

did I say he played strong D. I said he was our only consistent offensive big. I said the team wins maybe 25% of the games he is out for if they (as a team) improve on D (on top of figuring out rotation and EB improvement of playing time and his overall play

Losing speights may translate to better defense if brand plays…(try to use the reply function)…the minutes he should be playing.

I doubt they’ll lose 75% of their games with speights out, and if they do I don’t think Speights would have made a difference between a W/L in most of the games…just means (likely) that Brand will get 4th qtr minutes which will make Eddie Jordan sad

i mean...

okay u are right should have said btwn 33% & 40% of games we will win.

by fantasybc88 on Nov 15, 2009 3:05 PM PST reply actions

Well the sixers have only won 40% of their games so far…

It sucks that Speights got injured but I think the over all impact on the W-L is a lot less whether healthy or not

More Jason Smith

Even though I expect Brand’s role to increase, Jason Smith will most likely see a bump up in minutes. He showed some solid flashes in preseason so I’m looking forward to see what he’ll be able to do.

Yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing what Smith can’t do as well, especially on the defensive end with no lateral quickness

Well, you must be the Anti-EJ

since Kate Fagan has just recently tweeted Brand may now become a reserve! Bah!

@johnemagee, today at practice, Jordan had Carney and Smith running with the first group ..

by jemagee on Nov 16, 2009 11:03 AM PST reply actions

I’d take Carney over Smith in the line-up, if it’s just between those two.

I’ll take stabbing myself in the eyes over watching either of those 2 as a starter, though.

Either one is NOT willie green….hence a better option
