Sixers @ Bulls game thread 11/14/09

Philadelphia 76ers at Chicago Bulls, Nov 14, 2009 5:00 PM PST

Go Sixers. I don't expect much. I'll be doing the whole DVR thing (UNLV home opener tonight).

I suppose I’ll watch – it’s either that or crap on the DVR

17 points @ 6 minutes – end the qtr with 23 b/c of a heave by Iguodala

Any reason to pull Thad when he’s the most productive player on the court for us so far? Nope.

No player can play 48 minutes…Jordan still seems to be learning who can & can’t play.

HORRIBLE showing by Speights tonight

1/2 don’t get excited just yet

The players on the sixers roster just aren’t very smart it seems

I liked the idea....

Of a princeton offense as can have no true PG and still have success (as g-town did and made the final 4) but if can’t play D and you don’t play your starting PF in any 4th qtrs how are you supposed to win?!

I am not sure about firing him but if going to suck and lose games I wouldn’t mind that we fail miserably this yr and got a good lottery #!

The sixers do not run the princeton offense that much…

Honestly haven't been able to watch a game

As I know live 1000 miles away and my roommates refuse to pay for even the basic sports package (now that it is college bball season I will have to get it), only going on what I read.

I personally think our main problems are...

those which have followed EJ where ever he has gone = awful Defense, especially against the three, poor rebounding, idiotic substitution patterns, ignorantly not playing rookies and having talented players yet a crappy team.
I’m not saying they are contenders under a different coach, but I think they can be much, much, much better with a coach who can magnify their strengths and minimize their weaknesses. I believe EJ does just the opposite.

Damn, the Sixers suck.

This team is not as bad as the Eds have made them.

by MojoPharoah on Nov 14, 2009 8:46 PM PST up reply actions

I agree

We have good talent on our team. But the Eds have screwed them over!

And more importantly

The Eds have SCREWED us, the Fans, over!!!!

I disagree on talent

We have young talent that is a few yrs off but at this pt, system doesn’t seem to be fitting team. When young and developing need to use and create system that works for best two players (Andre and EB). System should include cutting to rim and slashing by Andre and ability for EB to make choices with ball in hand.

by fantasybc88 on Nov 14, 2009 9:37 PM PST up reply actions

I think u disagree with and are focused on the word "GOOD" in front of talent

If I said we had talent, and left it at that then you’d prolly agree! So disregard with the word “good”. My point is we have talent! It’s there no denying it! Im just not liking the Eds screwing what talent we have, up! Point blank

I have been unlucky enough (or is it lucky?)

to have been unable to watch even one minute of Sixers basketball this season. This makes me feel terrible – but I have been otherwise unavoidably occupied for literally every game this season. I should finally get to sit down and watch one or two this week. But I have been reading; I’ve seen every post here… and it doesn’t seem like I’m missing much.

Ugh.
