Jordan – i have no diea why your game thread table is freaking out – i’d have to see the code – maybe sbnation tweaked something when they made their changes – talk to them – maybe the photo in the headline freaks it ou and you have to do it after the jump?

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 10:48 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

Kate Fagan twit

76ers will go w/ same starting lineup (don’t look for it to change anytime soon). Nets missing Harris, Jianlian, Douglas-Roberts, maybe Lee.

I just got cut from the Cavs Summer League team in NBA 2K10.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:32 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

my friend’s doin that… he’s currently the 10th man on the bulls cuz d-rose tore his acl

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 4:36 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

i could’ve played with lebron, but no, i was a selfish player during the summer league. it didn’t help having to defend b-jennings, holiday, teague.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:38 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

u couldn’t mess with holiday’s psyche?

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 4:42 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

just the opposite.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:43 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

are you saying i’m a bad teammate?

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:37 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

I’m saying you’re most likely a short white guy with very little hops :)

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:44 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

true, but you also get graded for smart passes, boxing out and filling the correct lane. i wasn’t good at any of those either though.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:45 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

so your basketball iq is the equiv of sams?:)

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:47 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

woah woaha woah… let’s not say things we can’t take back

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 4:48 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

well, i know what i need to do, but my 40 overall rating really hurts all aspects of my game. i got picked up by a D-League team. the NBA hasn’t seen the last of me.

That’s ok – i get to meet one of the creators of cheers tomorrow – so I no longer am that angry at fox for stupid cancellatoin

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 4:49 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Suxxorz – but when you cast a no talent hack as your lead actresss, you’re kind of screwed, someones floating a rumor that conflict between wheedon and faith led to the cancellation

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:51 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

hmmmm interesting – at least they are gonna show the rest of the episodes though (arrested development style showing them back to back a bunch of nights)

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 4:52 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

well they’re made and fox paid for them – might as well air them – but they’ll also air AFTER sweeps so to have no impact on advertising daollars.

Not for nothing but can someone explain to me why veterans day seems to be a much ‘bigger deal’ this year than usual in the sports world?

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:39 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

eddie jordan said, “i’m not experimenting; i’m trying to figure out who fits where.”

isn’t that the same thing?

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:41 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Dear Eddie Jordan

WHAT THE FRACK WERE YOU DOING DURING TRAINING CAMP?

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:42 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

excellent pass from lou – right on the money

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 4:43 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

3 minutes in and no fouls on sam – wow

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:46 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

3 shots

3 assists from sweet lou

by phillyhoosfan on Nov 11, 2009 4:47 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

arena looks like the wachovia center right now (attendance wise)

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 4:48 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

0-7, no stars, no future, and still maybe leaving for brooklyn – i expect the nets to be one of the worst attendance teams for a while

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:49 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

even though andre is our best player, it seems like this team goes as thaddeus young goes.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:50 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Thad is 3-3 – i don’t care that it’s the nets – that’s good

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:50 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

my goodness andre.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:51 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

another ridiculous slam.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:52 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

seriously, why is sam still starting?

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:53 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Cause he earned it in training camp

“changing the starting lineup is a sensitive issue” — eddie jordan

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 4:54 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Well he has a point

Sam’s a pussy

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:56 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

why can’t we just buy him out like we did webber?

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:56 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

1. cause no one buys out a player with 2 years left on his deal
2. Sam could be a useful player if he realized his role (ala theor ratliff) off the bench
3. Buyouts are a last resort kind of thing

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 4:58 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

this is what we’ve resorted to.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 4:56 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Notice why they came back so easily. 80% of the ball handling involved Sam.

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 5:04 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

you know, speights is actually a good passer.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 5:04 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Yup – been noticing that every game this year that i do watch – since cox still gives me league pass for free

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 5:06 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

they’re probably charging you.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 5:07 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Trust me – they aren’t – they ‘auto renewed’ me even though i told them 3 different ways not to – i raised holly hell – they deducted all charges related to iit AND gave me a 20 dollar credit on my bill.

However, their ‘dirty secret’ is that your cable box isn’t updated that often – so it will keep receiving the ‘signal’ until they update the box that i’m not supposed to get it any more

“there are some sixers fans who feel he (speights) should be in the starting lineup… ahead of elton brand” — nets announcer

huh? – how about sammy?

that turnover was caused by good d by jrue

by DeanH on Nov 11, 2009 5:12 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

nonsense – we need WILL and ROYAL at the end of the game – they play the good D – eddie says so

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 5:13 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

and turnover caused by jrue too!

by DeanH on Nov 11, 2009 5:13 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

wow boone’s knuckle is huge

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 5:18 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

jrue, ouch. he just dribbled for 22 of the 24 seconds on the shot clock and then carried.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 5:19 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

bye bye jrue

how many minutes was that? 4?

by el on Nov 11, 2009 5:20 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

and that will be it for the game

yet sam and willie have earned the right to constantly be douchey?

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 5:21 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Would anyone be adverse to saying if Eddie Jordan sits Jrue for the rest of the game – web site still goes up?

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 5:23 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

No, all for the website.

by YoSixers on Nov 11, 2009 6:17 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

He made a mistake in the first half – a rookie mistake – got pulled immediately – SHOULD NOT cost him the entire game…not when willie and sam screw up at least every other offensive possession – it’s bad for his psyche – what you’re telling him is play perfect or don’t play – that’s the wrong message

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 6:18 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

he’ll shoot a fadeaway.

Speights with 8 points and no defensive rebounds in the first half? That’s bad

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 5:59 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

that didn’t look like a foul on lopez… just looked like sam being weak

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 6:04 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

You think sam saw how brand found thad open from the low post for the open look at 3?

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 6:05 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

i think sam saw thad shoot not elton pass… and thought “hey i can do that”

by tsteidel on Nov 11, 2009 6:07 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

maybe brand just forgot how to play basketball?

Ivery – means no Jrue

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 6:18 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

Well here’s the thing.

“Sure Jrue, we’ll put you in, but if you make the slightest (rookie) mistake, you won’t play the rest of the game and who knows when you’ll play again”

Eddie is all worried about ‘psyche’ and yet he’ll be implying that if Jrue doesn’t play perfect he won’t play again in any given game – how is that good for his psyche

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 6:21 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

couldn’t agree more.

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 6:22 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

That’s the message I see if he doesn’t play again for the rest of the game, maybe I’m wrong, but no one is mistake free…you learn from mistakes you don’t sit from them

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 6:24 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

can we all agree that EJ has a bias against rookies now?

by jsams on Nov 11, 2009 6:25 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

He must – cause Ivey ain’t a better player

by jemagee on Nov 11, 2009 6:26 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Does not require a brain to see that!

by DeanH on Nov 11, 2009 6:28 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Well it does

Because people used to say “Larry Brown” hated rookies and I saw that disproved using FACTS and FIGURES pretty well

i mean a win is a win… but i’m tired of saying that… i want a win in which the sixers actually DESERVE a win… haven’t seen it yet… the sixers just won by 3 against a team with ONE regular starter playing

correct.

But as said before, a win is a win.

by DeanH on Nov 11, 2009 7:03 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

idk

almost as bad as the knicks one.

thad broke his funk, sort of. the rest of the team’s sloppy effort kind of overshadows this.

speights had a nice game, as usual.

iggy had a bad shooting night, but he contributed 9 boards and 6 dimes.

nothing really redeeming about this game.

The foul on Lopez?

by jemagee on Nov 12, 2009 6:50 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

royal ivey had really impressive numbers that warranted him playing over jrue.

in 7.5 minutes he had

0 points, 0 rebounds, 0 assists, 0 turnover, 0 fouls, 0 field goal attempts, 0 steals, 0 blocks etc.

it is actually pretty impressive. i have never so many 0’s for a player that actually played for 8 minutes.

seriously you have to almost try to get numbers like that

by el on Nov 11, 2009 7:08 PM PST reply actions   0 recs
