I’m surprised the Nets blogers are so down on their chances. I would think 30 wins is a bit low for them.

Massive line up turnover – loss of only ‘star’ player – can dishearten the faint of heart.

Can I just say that this blog network has too many damn celtics blogs? EIGHT of em….jesus – how many of them sprung up in the past two years…any blog that didn’t exist before this current ‘run’ should be outlawed as a poser blog :)

Seriously though – I didn’t know they allowed multiple blogs in this network for the same team.

there's only one blog allowed per team

the dude who organizes these previews is a Celtics fan though, so he invites all the Celtics blog around the web to do previews as well.

SBNation’s only Celtics blog is CelticsBlog — naturally.

which by the way

was getting like 37,000 hits per day over the summer. those are outrageous numbers.

Ok – not for nothing – i know it’s a nice thing he does – but at the same time I find it kind of an ass hat douche baggy thing to do – if it’s an sbnation preview – then make it sb nation blogs – only – there’s two nets – and two knick blogs (and even without looking i know they aren’t the best knick blogs cause that’s knickerblogger) – hell even two raptors blogs.

So only the sixers have ONE blog listed – but it’s the sbnation roundtable preview huh?

Yeah – ok…

lol chill

i don’t run it, but i’m pretty sure he e-mailed hundreds of bloggers, and even ones he didn’t had the chance to sign up. guys like knickerblogger and kevin from Clipperblog probably declined.

and I don’t know why i was the only sixers blog. i know there were multiple guys e-mailed.

Yeah well, since the guy who ran it was from boston – i’m smelling conspiracy and lack of respect – of course what do you expect from a team built around one of the worst sports in the game who then added one of the other worst sports in the league….

Kevin from clipper blog works for ESPN now doesn’t he? Arvonitz? He sold out and lost all credibility (so few folk at espn have credibility, but after they picked such a HORRIBLE sixer blog for their blog roll i almost launced a DNS at their web site. -

yeah he works for ESPN now. i’m not sure how they assembled their blog network over there. i know the writer for cowbell kingdom (very cool dude, met him at the summer league, good writer as well) doesn’t write for his favorite team. he’s a t’wolves fan, but runs their kings blog. i’m not saying that’s a bad thing, just a little different than most networks run these days.

by Jordan Sams on Oct 7, 2009 8:32 PM PDT up reply actions

See – I don’t get it – there’s at least one real good kings blog out there (sac town royalty) and they have a really strong fan base – so there’s got to be another good one out there.

If ESPN’s blog network isn’t written by fans of the teams they are representing that taints it even more – it kind of defeats the purpose of a blog in general…a blog is the outlet for the vocal and dedicated fan…ESPN does SO MUCH for baseball and football – they have so many GOOD writers with so many different points of view and ways to look at the game – NBA gets the short shrift there too I think 0- learning that guys who write for specific teams for their blog roll aren’t fans – that’s disappointing

it happens a lot. guys just want to get publicity. i’ve seen a dude write start 5 different blogs (coincidently, the 5 teams both Truehoop and SBNation were missing from their network).

by Jordan Sams on Oct 7, 2009 8:53 PM PDT up reply actions

I plan 4 or 5 different blogs if i can ever get off my ass – but on 4 or 5 really different topics which is why they won’t all be one uber blog – i’m my own blog network :)
