i’m available

in other news nba.com has a really interesting fantasy game called nba stock exchange – pretty much you have a portfolio of nba players who have stock prices that change every couple seconds – also you get fantasy points for the players you have – i’m part of a league always looking for more players let me know if you want in

I actually might make it :)

My flight gets into PHX at 7PM EST Thurday. Since it is not until 7:30 PDT I should be able to make it (but I’ll have to talk my wife into letting me have to computer time on the 1st nt of our trip.)

I could probably be free for anytime after 7PM PST any day except Monday… if I can clear it with my wife…

who have stock prices that change every couple seconds

That doesn’t make sense, if they adjusted after each game that would make sense.

There’s a pretty long running game called the hollywood stock exchange (HSX.com) i had few hundred million but I stopped it years go

It makes sense if prices are based on transaction

If a player gets added by to a bunch of rosters then the price goes up… or is it based on stats?

yea that’s how it is – prices fluctuate based on how many other people buy/sell them

I suppose…sounds kind of interesting, but is the pool really big enough to big fun game – plus in the off season not so much :)

well our league right now is just 7 ppl (hard to get ppl to sign up because game is pretty involved) – but you also get a ranking against the entire pool of participants – there is no offseason i guess it just “ends” when the regular season does

check out the link – all the rules and explanations if want to read up on them

I might check it out – cause things like this appeal to my ‘stock market interest’ side.

Do they have stop losses and ‘buy orders’?:)

they have “advance orders” where you can say when to buy/sell a player depending on where price is at but it seems you’re only allowed 4 – they don’t really explain it at all in the how-to section but i assume that’s what it means

Interesting – if i ever find some free time – i’ll check it out

beastly league

Guessing what the pitcher is going to throw is eighty percent of being a successful hitter. The other twenty percent is just execution.

ouch

I’m not doin’ so hot either. Rashard Lewis and Blake Griffin not playing are my two ‘excuses’ :)

haha Redick, that’s a good one.

Check out how redick was playing when Carter was out.

I’ve got pau gasol (who i can’t waive)

I’m confused as how to play this, am i supposed to churn my roster every week for guys who play the most games or what?

I wouldn't

don’t waste your time :)

by guitarmouse35 on Nov 5, 2009 3:32 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Seriously – i’m not used to this – i mean there’s no ‘decisions’ on who to play cause your whole roster fits – so it’s one of those look for the guys who get more imnutes in a week cause they have more games like in fatnasy baseball where you churn pitchers based on 2 or 3 starts in a week?

If you really wanna to do that you can, but the way I see it is that the team with the better players will still win. You can be lazier, and not feel as bad if the plan backfires lol.

If my players would stop getting hurt that would help

u set it daily sir. u can set it days in advance so you do not need to do it every day. By doing that, you will most likely not get shut out magee. Unless your team is flat out awful that week and the team you played is godly that week

by sixer83 on Nov 4, 2009 12:43 PM PST reply actions   0 recs

yeah – that wasn’t helpful because it had nothing to do with my question…but solid effort
