I got tickets!

Looking forward to seeing them tonight as they tune-up for the regular season. Also interested in seeing the Wizards since so many are touting them as being better than the Sixers.

Also trying to see if the team will give me any hint regarding how good they’ll be this season. I am projecting the Sixers as a 50 win team, good enough for 4th in the Conference, and 2nd in the Atlantic. If Boston sputters, the Sixers could challenge them for the Division.

It isn’t likely that they will win more than one round in the playoffs, as they will face Orlando, Cleveland or Boston in the 2nd. If they can develop an effective half-court offense by then, however, things could get interesting as they should be above average in defense and rebounding.

Ricko - I'll be there too.

where are your seats? I’m up courtside, sec 115. I love stubhub.

Not yet, but I think he will be the Center at the end of games. Eventually he may push Sam out of the starting spot, but even if he is better, it’s good for the Sixers to get Sam involved early to provide defense and rebounding. With Andre, Lou, Thad and Elton there are plenty of shots required.

Speights can make the 2nd team so strong that it will put a lot of pressure on the other teams’ reserves. Along with Carney, Holiday, Kapono and Smith they could do a lot to make the Sixers more successful.

If he learns to play defense he very likely could push Sam out of the starting rotation. Right now, Speights has a very long way to catch up. He rarely gets defensive rebounds or plays alot of defense.

And I also believe he needs to stop throwing up the ball at the hoop EVERYTIME he gets the ball, atleast that is the way it seems.

Willie Green gets Nick Young to bite on his pump fake with 1 sec left and makes a FT to win the game…until the ref calls a phantom foul on Green when he just flashed his hand a few inches in front of James. Bad angle tho since he was on the side. But still a very solid 4th quarter from Green, as well as Kapono, Smith, and Speights.

What a crap way to end a game. It’s clearly pre-season for the refs, too.
