Have a hard time getting happy about this.
Still only preseason, but I am optimistic going into the season.
Watched the game en espanol
Another sloppy pre-eason game. Iguodala looked great/dominant. While Brand looked like he can’t jump at all. There were plays where he could not dunk the ball despite having no one between him and the rim. The rest of the team looked fine, but no one really stood out except maybe Young with a few moves on Amare.
The team still showed no motion in the offense. Iguodala pretty much broke everyone down with penetration (he was de-facto PG), but I saw nothing that I would describe as Princeton. Holiday looked rough but promising. He had another one of those TO’s where he looses a behind the back dribble that reminds you he will need some seasoning.
Sam and Speights took a ton of jumpers. they combined for 23 shots in 28 min. Speights had some strong inside moves- which was promising. He really does look bigger in there.
I guess its good in a way that the team can wiin easily without looking all that good overall. But I’m still waiting to see this new offense and any hint of Brand getting his legs back.

Dominant is the perfect word. Andre ended up with both the Dunk of the Night and the Assist of the Night in the same quarter. Great work by him.
Everybody else is still finding their place.

BTW, did anybody see this article about Friday’s game. Like how he seems to be pushing Mo and everybody to keep giving more toward winning
It may have looked sloppy, but the boxscore looked very good. No one plays even 30 minutes and they score 116. OK, we know the Suns can’t play defense, but for the Sixers to run them into the ground like that is still a big improvement over their first meeting. Double doubles from Speights and Dalembert in limited minutes is very good. Young is also getting it together, Holiday looks like he can contribute this season. It’s going to take time for Brand to regain his ups, but as long as he can still be effective it’s not a problem.
Remember the Princeton is for when they can’t run up and down. There aren’t too many teams in the league that they will have to actually employ the PO to win. Teams that can rebound and protect the ball and play defense, i.e. the good teams are what the PO is for. There’s only 5 or 6 teams in the whole league that can force the Sixers into a half-court game.
Last season the Suns were better than the Sixers, they aren’t any longer. 50 games or better this season. 4 players who can put up double doubles in pts. and boards. Brand, Young, Speights and Dalembert, plus two others who can score 20 or more in Iguodala and Williams. When they play a real elite team we’ll have a better chance to know how good they’ll be, but I think they are 4th in the East.
i think that eddie jordan is starting to like speights more than sammy. i think/hope sammy gets traded definetly before the trade deadline next year
eff you we winning anyway
A. Next year he has trade value
B. If jordan likes sammy more than speights he should be fired.
It’s pre season – it’s a good match up for speights – let’s not get stupid
Don't frack with me or you'll get a punch in the kidneys...you've been warned

I have courtside seats to Tuesday night’s preseason game against the Wizards. I have 2 of them, and I am 1 person. I am offering it here because I know there are real, devoted basketball fans. I’m asking just the $40 that the ticket cost me. If you are interested in the ticket, email me at zebster1988@yahoo.com
