Thursday night open thread

One day the Sixers will be cool enough to play in Thursday night games, because as of right now, they're not. So, I'm sitting here eating chocolate peanut butter ice cream, listening to various Bill Simmons podcasts and preparing to flip back and forth between the national championship and the TNT games.

I'll be here for the foreseeable future, so use this as an open thread if you'd like to discuss the national championship, TNT games, Andre Miller trades or anything else that pops up. If you want to, you want to and if you don't, you don't. I'm just throwing it out there. Peace

That was an excellent catch – flag or now – #18 just made a great grab

good old number 18

i love how barely anyone knows college players names. I’m guilty of it as well.

Pimpin' ain't easy and neither is being a Sixers fan. I manage to do both. Join me at Liberty Ballers, the SBNation 76ers blog. Don't make fun of the name either. It has nothing to do with the New York Liberty of the WNBA.

There’s too many damn teams – i’m a badger and i don’t even know all the players on that team – i know guys obsessed with lots of sports INCLUDING college football – i have enough time with phillies and sixers

yeah, I was more into college when I was younger.

astros, sixers and cowboys are extremely tough to follow with work and school, especially with how intently I follow each of ’em.

I’m an eagles fan – but i live in california – and i don’t have direc tv – or want to go to bars on sunday morning so there’s only so much i can do following them – i watch em when they’re on :)

we had the discussion at work about the over

they said it was around 70 points? I definitely thought that was way too high. I see like a 31-24 game.

And there's so many other ways to watch the Eagles if you really wanted to.

But, I’m glad you don’t.

I watch em when they’re on the network games – but i hate the online feeds – they’re just terrible – more irritating and i don’t care that much

but i did get to see the eagles thrash the cowboys :)

over on this game was set at 69 last i read

yeah, I don't see the over being covered

and it’s a shame you saw the cowboys/eagles game

I'm not a fan of these announcers.

Thank God Madden and Michaels are doing the Super Bowl.

Joe Buck is horrible in all things
Always found it weird FOX had the BCS since they don’t do college ball most of the season – ESPN/ABC taking over on next contract

ESPN is running a 3 hour ‘sportscenter special’? Seriously?

by jemagee on Jan 8, 2009 7:03 PM PST reply actions

on what?

I can’t stand ESPN anymore.

B-Sim is the only dude I read/listen to, and not necessarily because I agree with him, but because he’s unique and entertaining. It’s all about NFL network, NBA TV and the MLB network which I haven’t checked out yet.
