While Ed Stefanski wouldn't mention any names, it's clear that the Sixers desperately need a shooter. They are last in the NBA in 3-point shooting accuracy at 29.1 percent this season. That's even worse than last season, when they were last at 31.7 percent.

Stefanski wouldn't say if he's shopping Andre Miller, or Samuel Dalembert, who might be less attractive because he has two years and $23.6 million left on his deal, in addition to a 15 percent trade kicker. But Stefanski did say he has been talking with teams about possible trades.

"We're on the phones a lot, learning what other teams are looking for and seeing if there's anything out there that makes sense for us," Stefanski said. -- The News Journal

ok, so

who would we like to see in a Sixers uni in exchange for Miller and/or Sammy? What’s the most viable option?

The options seem sparse.

That’s what Wednesday GM is for ;) Tomorrow I’ll look into it more, but it looks like expiring deals is the best we could get, but you never know with Stefanski.

I’d be okay with some decent expiring contracts that may help in both the short term and the long run. As long as it fits in with a plan to bring in someone who can really contribute in the next year or two.

Sam won’t gain you expiring contracts – and if all you want is expiring contracts – keep Miller.

Shooters and a point guard – mike miller and randy foye from minnesota would be nice.

Portland is in love with David Lee (god knows why) maybe you can facilitate that and swing sergio or bayless

Throwing names out there is kind of silly because as fans we don’t know what’s available and what isn’t and what a players true value is.

I’d like to see improvements where the team is lacking (even now) which is outside shooting and point guard

I’d like Mike Miller … and I’d really like Foye mainly because I’m a huge Villanova fan.

Miller might be able to

get us a young point guard/shooter + and expiring deal, especially with the way he’s been playing.

Gotta find a team that CARES about how he’s been playing and has a point guard and shooter :)

I don't think he'll ever be the same.

Yeah, I wanted the Sixers to somehow get him when he came out.
