Thunder at Sixers open thread 11/15/08

Oklahoma City Thunder at Philadelphia 76ers, Nov 15, 2008 4:00 PM PST

I still haven't had a chance to watch the tape of last night's game. I'll try to watch it before tonight's game, but from the sound of it, no one else saw the 26-point comeback either, so here are the highlights.

Tonight we could get back to .500.

The Thunder should not beat us.

We're at home.

Let's take care of business.

I expect nothing less than a blowout.

TV: Comcast SportsNet

Record: 4-5

Prediction: 112-86 Sixers

This is an open thread.

hmm, it would be interesting if we have a 26 point win one day after we come back from a 26 point deficit…

We killed both the Knicks and Kings.

I think the Thunder are along the same lines.

Where will you be when the Sixers hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy? Hopefully Liberty Ballers.

The good news is that i get the sixers feed – the bad news is that the video is all screwed up on the indemand feed – i think it has something to do with being an ‘hd’ feed but on the digital channel – it’s awful

Still the wrong starting center Mo – get with it

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 4:10 PM PST reply actions

We better not lose this game.

Robert Swift is my least favorite player.

I hate a team with it’s point guard as its scoring leader

Why would you pull thaddeus young before anyone else mo – he is currently your best player

seriously

Speights in to start the second quarter – sams ass sitting – keep it that way

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 4:35 PM PST reply actions

Lou Williams willie green back court makes me cry

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 4:36 PM PST reply actions

Not a good pass by Lou.

Another one.

by Jordan Sams on Nov 15, 2008 4:37 PM PST up reply actions

This is what I’m saying about Lou Williams – his court vision is just bad – he makes bad passes – he is not a point guard

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 4:37 PM PST reply actions

For sure.

Where will you be when the Sixers hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy? Hopefully Liberty Ballers.

16-6 run by the thunder since 20-10

Continues his disappointing season.

I use mine for protection

by Jordan Sams on Nov 15, 2008 4:44 PM PST up reply actions

I would really like to see a Williams Iguodala back court with Iguodala at the ‘one’ offensively

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 4:46 PM PST reply actions

The more the NBA hypes him the more i start to hate D “I can’t spell my first name correctly” Wade

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 4:49 PM PST reply actions

this game's a little too close for comfort

by Jordan Sams on Nov 15, 2008 5:14 PM PST reply actions

I second that. Can’t be sluggish to start the second half.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 15, 2008 5:20 PM PST up reply actions

Well, that’s definitely good.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 15, 2008 5:20 PM PST reply actions

Andre Miller 9 dimes

nice.

Only 5 shots – better

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:26 PM PST up reply actions

Sammy is really disappointing me.

Where will you be when the Sixers hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy? Hopefully Liberty Ballers.

by Jordan Sams on Nov 15, 2008 5:23 PM PST reply actions

Sam hardly ever disappoints me – he angers me – but i have little to no expectation of him – even though it still p isses me off when he leads up to them.

I’m impressed he made it through the first half with no fouls

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:25 PM PST up reply actions

I heard a story that the first time Sam attempted to dunk he hit his head on the rim. That is when I knew what we were dealing with.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 15, 2008 5:28 PM PST up reply actions

Thad is quickly becoming my favorite player.

Really nice defense to start the second half

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:28 PM PST reply actions

Iguodalas slow start starting to wear off?

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:29 PM PST reply actions

Yes

jumper looking good

FINE Samuel Dalembert – I don’t give a frack if he made it

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:30 PM PST reply actions

I'll live with that shot.

He’s usually money if he’s wide open and not fading away.

Where will you be when the Sixers hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy? Hopefully Liberty Ballers.

by Jordan Sams on Nov 15, 2008 5:30 PM PST up reply actions

Unacceptable for him to take that shot…more unacceptable when he dribbles out and tries to force it…it’s a demonstration of low to no basketball IQ as far as i’m concerned – the fact that he’s gotten BETTER from the top of the key but still has no post moves or boxing out ability is to me a demonstration of what sam thinks is ‘important’ for him to develop to be a better basketball player…he shouldn’t take that shot, he shouldn’t work on that shot until he works on the things he sucks at that are much more important for him to be good at to be a quality contributor to a championship caliber team.

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:32 PM PST up reply actions

Great start to the second half

Where will you be when the Sixers hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy? Hopefully Liberty Ballers.

by Jordan Sams on Nov 15, 2008 5:30 PM PST reply actions

i wonder what the hell Mo said at the half. Dare I say he said something right? Nah. Fire Mo-ron!

by FuquaManuel on Nov 15, 2008 5:32 PM PST reply actions

He put the starting 5 back in the game – when the subs come back we’ll see if there were any actual half time adjustments…sixers starting five much better than the thunder

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:33 PM PST up reply actions

I think that was offensive goaltending – looked in the cylinder from the CSN camera angle?

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:34 PM PST reply actions

Bob Salmi – idiot – calling this game a win already – like he hasn’t watched the hawks and pacers games this year?

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:37 PM PST reply actions

I just have this feeling that Thad will lead the team in scoring this year. I am excited for this kid. What a future he has.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 15, 2008 5:39 PM PST reply actions

Elton Brand is a career 20/10 player – on this team he really should average 20 a game unless, you know, the coach doesn’t know what he’s doing

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:42 PM PST up reply actions

Crap

Willie Green / Louis Williams back court again

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:42 PM PST reply actions

TWO HANDS SAM

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:43 PM PST reply actions

Please no fourth quarter let down

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:46 PM PST reply actions

Sam – you don’t have that move – stop trying

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:47 PM PST reply actions

Reggie gets away with a foul

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 5:49 PM PST reply actions

Nice Pass Mr Speights – and nice follow – i know it’s garbage time but i’ll take it

by jemagee on Nov 15, 2008 6:10 PM PST reply actions

Dang…jsams’ prediction looks right on target. Well done sir.

by FuquaManuel on Nov 15, 2008 6:13 PM PST reply actions

I want Thad to father my children
