Welcome to SBN
Hello from Japan. Glad to see that the Sixers finally have a blog up on SBN. I am a Philly native, but I have to confess I am a Blazers fan. I used to like the 6ers in the Barkley, Hawkins, Dawkins and, of course, Bol, era, but fell in love with the Flyers and saw the Sixers as the other team that used the spectrum/center. I moved to Portland and found out the town was so big into basketball and they managed to root for the team the right way. I love the way that we treat our football team and stadium (though the Vet had the best memories of that for me), but I just don't think that stuff belongs in the NBA arena. I still love the Flyers and Eagles, and if I were to chose a 2nd NBA team, it would be the Sixers.
In fact, that's kind of what I did. Over at Blazers Edge (the Blazers SBN sister site), in an effort to get more involved with other teams and extend the olive branch, people have volunteered to become ambassadors for other SBN sites. I picked the Sixers, but they didn't have a site. Until now. So I welcome all the crap I will take for switching teams (actually I would never switch, but I really didn't have a team for a decade or so, and I still don't recognize baseball as a major sport no matter where I am. Again, fire away) and hope that we can talk some ball together. Since reading the blog, I do have to know about Speights. I'm sure just asking won't be enough, and I'll be around enough to pick up why you guys are so jazzed about this guy. Honestly, I think the Sixers and the Blazers will be duking it out in the finals in a few seasons if things stay on the up and up for both of these teams.

Yo
One of my best friends is a Blazers fan, so we’ll get along fine and I have no judgement on you for switching teams, as long as you did it pre-Greg Oden haha.
I love Blazer’s Edge. I think it’s one of the premier sites on the network and as a basketball blog that’s what we strive to be. That being said, I hope to see a lot of you over here too.
As for Speights, think and un-polished Amare. That’s what I believe his ceiling is if he works hard. He’s a stud, but we’ll just have to wait and see if he develops like we all think he will.
Just like I tell my Blazers (and Lakers) buddies all the time. See you in the championship.
Where will you be when the Sixers hoist the Larry O'Brien trophy? Hopefully Liberty Ballers.
Actually, I became a Blazers fan
the year before Roy and Aldridge were drafted. The year that they were the worst team in the league. It was the begining of it anyway, the people would actually have a conversation with me about them rather than a rant.
I’ll be here a fair amount, especially on game days since I can’t really watch the games on TV. I can’t wait to hear about speights in action. Glad to know thing look like they are on the up and up here.
Sergio will explode this year as the best NBA player ever and will take revenge impregnating all Portland and Blazers with the "chocolate" word.

Another Blazer Fan joins Liberty Ballers
I am Blazer’s Edges Ambassador to The Dream Shake – A Houston Rockets Blog. They have only been a SBNation blog for a couple of days now and I think they have good potential. All SBN bloggers should definitely check them out when looking for info regarding the Houston franchise. I think that if the member of any SBN blog frequent the other SBN blogs and participate in civil discourse at each of those blogs, that it will help all of the SBN blogs to flourish which would be to the benefit of all bloggers who enjoy the camaraderie of their own blog. Making all of the SBN blogs the best that they can be, means that we all can benefit from having all of the other blogs as a valuable resource of information about the other franchises in the NBA.
Believe me starting now the Liberty Baller blog is where I will go any time I want to learn more about the 76ers franchise.
Thanks,
